This is the guy who married Obama and his wife and baptized his children. Obama also got the title of his book, The Audacity of Hope, from one of his sermons. He has been attending his church for over 20 years hearing this message and saying amen. Is this where he got his message of hope? I hope not! This speech may have in the past, and he might be retired, but Obama has definate close ties to his "mentor." The media gave Obama a free ride and didn't do a thorough enough background check on him and now it is coming to bite him, so stop the crying Obamites.

Re: Iraq 1 – unlike you, i'm not surprised by this. my husband, a soldier in the united states army, just returned from deployment in iraq. all his stories about his interactions with iraqi citizens were positive. and the iraqis' opinion of america and president bush is very very positive. he and his men were repeatedly invited into the homes of citizens, they were cooked for, invited to share in celebrations of holidays, prayed for, and they had lengthy in-depth discussions about many subjects. yes, he was there to fight against the insurrgents, but he worked closely with the iraqi army because they, too, are fighting against the insurrgents. most americans have absolutely no clue about what is really happening in iraq, and the media reports only what it wants to. which is why it's taken so long for anything negatively associated with obama to come out into the open. with rare exception, there's no truth in the news and no news in the truth.

Have you experienced a system of bias that is so accepted it is virtually invisible? White people don't have to think about racial bias on a daily basis so they assume it doesn't exist. In Mississippi 9 out of 10 blacks voted for Obama. Obama may say he is not running on Race, but he knows he is going to get most of the Black Vote. I am from outside the US and I look at this country and I see people telling the black folks that THEY are racist against white people. Sorry but black people have been treated like second-class citizens until at least the 80's and are sometimes still today subjected to hate/disdain (even if not displayed openly.) White people have NO IDEA how it feals to grow up with parents who felt like second-class citizens in their OWN country. Why do white people somehow deep inside them feel like they are the "superior" race? Ask yourself. Have you been indoctrinated/brainwashed with this kind of feeling? If you have such feelings inside you, it's not true. Nobody is superior than any other beings on this earth. We all have the same spark of God, love, hope, wonder, kindness, creativity etc. in us. All of us. All human beings living right now on this earth.

at this point if you live in a state that has yet to have it's primary, then you definitely has the opportuinty to really research all the candidates. i understand fully backing someone and that politics are well indeed quite back handed and filthy, but a great deal of these comments only fuel that fire. as americans we are seeing a race, a need for change that hasn't been around in this country in quite some time. i would say as anyone who is either a registered Democrat voting, stop with the pissing contest. Both candidates have a great deal to offer.
