Filed under: MadonnaMadonna debuted the song Miles Away off her upcoming album on Japanese television this past weekend.
The singer lent the song to a TV chef for the theme song to his new show, and she even recorded a personalized greeting for him.
We really like the song, but….
Pharrell told us this past weekend that one of his tunes with her Madgesty, Give It To Me, is a banger and that song is expected to be the second single.
Get it out quick. 4 Minutes stinks!

Correction, Perez: He's not a "TV chef". His name is Takuya Kimura. He's actually the most famous male celebrity in Japan. He's a very, very famous actor and singer and host of a popular variety show which often features him cooking. But he's *not* "a TV chef".

Miles Away sounds kind of boring… but I love 4 Minutes! It gets better and better with repeat listens.

Oh yes another very boring song. She had no talent to begin with, but even big names aren't helping her music. If this is the kind of music she is putting out these days then count me out. It relies so heavily on the studio for the mixed vocals and even the music production. Its funny how people like want Madonna to release Vouge & Hung Up over & over again. And people want to criticize Madonna for not being fresh, its actually the opposite of that. People always expect Madonna to release what she did last time and she just doesnt do that. You have to understand Madonna wants to make songs she feels like making. I love that song Miles Away, so far away. Its very much a Madonna sound so is 4 minutes, they both have the Ray of Light vibe. Its just people want to hear the same thing from Madonna over & over again. The thing about Madonna songs is that they resonate. Take something like Die Another Day. When your first heard it your like what was that. But now its one of my favorite songs from her. They grow on you, because Madonna actually means what shes saying, & like she says at the end of the day she just hopes other people like it to. And I dig the version of 4 Minutes from Z100.

Re: travisty – i just have to respond. i too am a old timer madonna fan and find this new album and sound to be anything but original or progressive which what i have come to love about madonna. she has obviously sold out to make money and the funny thing is i don't many people care about Timbaland anymore she should have gone the M.I.A. or DJ Premier route or even better a reggaeton sound would have been edgier. Us latinos are the majority in this country now and the hip hop thing is soooo dead now. i'm trying my hardest to be positive about this but it's hard when you are absolutely disappointed with the direction one of your favorite artists is going in. i have to be honest…i heard the song(4 minutes) today and i didn't like it. perez was so right, i think it sounded like a justin song, featuring madonna. you can barely hear madonna's singing, and there's no freaking chorus. i was disappointed. the sad thing is that she is a sell out, she jumped on the timbaland bandwagon, she could have gone back to one of her 90s producers or unknown producers and come out with something original like back in the 80s and 90s. she was known for coming out w/something new and at the same time "fresh" on her albums. guess those days are over.
