Re: ss794 – I am not a scientologist - but have read a couple of hubbards books in order to educate myself at least a little bit on the topic - I enjoy learning about all religions - scientology being no exeption - especially with the amount of media attention it receives for being a cult - I think if everyone-including Perez took the time to do a little research you would realize it is not a cult at all - do your research and have your own opinions-don't just follow what someone else tells you is true-figure it out for yourself-have your own mind-don't just jump on some band wagon because it seems like it's the COOL thing to do.

As for the "Sinister" Harlem branches of scientology- they are really cheesy storefronts (in the back of Bank of America) that are very two-bit. They'll sometimes come out and ask people to take their 'free personality test". The people giving out the flyers look way too space cadet for it to fly much in New York- we're much too savvy for that (and the ones that do fall for it, well, it's a great way of weeding out the weak for the rest of us)
