Sir Elton John will perform at a solo concert fundraiser for Hillary Clinton on April 9th at Radio City Music Hall in New York City, it was announced today.
The event, called Elton and Hillary: One Night Only, is Elton John's first public solo concert in New York City without his band since his solo concert at Madison Square Garden in October 2000.
"I'm not a politician but I believe in the work that Hillary Clinton does," said Elton. "I'm excited to support Hillary by performing at what will be a truly memorable night."
Tickets will go on sale this Wednesday.

Re: lisa – It is happening already. Look what is about to happen in Michigan and Florida. At least one of these big states will have another primary, and Clinton is leading in both states. Thats alot of delegates and believe me the Clinton machine knew this would happen and knew how it would come down, before it even happened. When is comes to the convention, they will look at electability, not Nancy Pelosi. Its for the better of the party. Clinton has taken the big states and thats a big deal, another thing is Clinton supporters will not back Obama, but Obama supporters will vote for Clinton. What's sad is how many people like yourself are willing to turn a blind eye to the disenfranchisement that this country projects onto minority populations, and ignore the privelege that the color of your skin allows you on a daily basis. Rev. Wright could have stated his thoughts more eloquently, and not in such an inflammatory manner, I agree; but what he was saying is true; whether you are willing to hear it or not is the question. Like it or not, this country's government implements institutional racism every day, and it keeps "the majority" very comfortable. The fact that it scares so many people to hear a call for equality is what is more frightening.

You can throw in MI, FL, and let's say 70% of the vote in Pennsylvania and she still can't win. I suggest playing around with a delegate calculator (i.e. Slate has one I'm pretty sure). Last week CNN also finally conceded Texas to be a win for Obama. The majority has spoken and the answer is Obama. The Clinton machine made a fatal mistake in that they underestimated the Obama trend. They knew they would lose 12 states in a row, but they were hoping for blowouts in OH and TX that never happened. Despite what the mainstream media is saying, netting 9 delegates on March 4th was not the burst of momentum that she needed.
I can also tell you that there are just as many Obama supporters who would never vote for Clinton, including myself and many, many independent voters. In every nationwide poll, Obama is shown to be more electable, more than Clinton and McCain.

You are thinking of the popular vote in certain districts, not the state itself. Clinton took that by a good margin. It also raised her delegate count, this weekend Clinton picked up 7 delegates in Iowa and took more from California. Obama had 8 more then Clinton this past weekend in these two states. Not the landslide he was hoping for. These super delegates will make a huge difference, and it really doesn't matter if they are pledged now. That will actually occur during the convention and super delegates can change their mind. We've seen it happen now. Super delegates vote for what is best for the party, and right now for the White House Clinton looks best suited. The Republicans will tear appart Obama worse then any Democrat and we'll be stuck with another Bush when all is said and done..

Supers will not go against the majority of the voters or the number of pledged delegates. As far as him being torn apart by the republicans, the Clintons have pulled out every stop in the book to try to slow him down. The Clintons have the finest researchers that money can buy, and I promise you, if he can survive that wretched Hillary, he can survive anything. If you want another Bush, vote Hillary. She voted for his war. If you're looking at experience, you should notice that the majority of hers is FAILED experience. Failure to bring us healthcare (she was bought out by the drug companies for $800,000), and failure to keep us out of this dumb, rash war.
