Bob Irwin, dad of the late Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin reportedly left the famous Australia Zoo because he doesn't agree with daughter-in-law Terri Irwin's plans to sell the zoo property.
Terri supposedly wants to relocate to her native U.S. with kids Bindi and Robert.
What would Steve think of that????
Zoo insiders claim the rumoured sale to cable network Animal Planet and plans for a $100-million Disney-style wildlife theme just doesn't sit well with Bob Irwin. It's not in line with keeping "his son's dream alive."
An Australia Zoo spokesman denied claims that Miz Irwin was planning to sell the zoo and relocate to the U.S. with her two children. However, she refused to comment on future plans that might involve Animal Planet, after the zoo announced its expansion.
In other news, legal troubles go on for Mrs. Crocodile Hunter, who is being sued by debt collection agency Alyssa Treasury Services.
She was allegedly involved in a seemingly shady business transaction with a tax commissioner.
Alyssa Treasury is suing Australia Zoo for $2.5 million and Mrs Irwin for $60,000 for allegedly failing to pay bills of exchange.
Selling the land or hooking up with a big corporate partner will surely allow her to pay her debts plus lots of play money!

This is one Australian who would be *glad* to get rid of pushy fake Terri and her freaky trollchild daughter. Maybe we will be subjected to less of their ugly faces on our tvs- god help us when the Crocodile bait boy gets old enough to parrot like Bindi does.
While its kinda sad to kick Steve's dad out of the family business that was founded long before Terri latched on to Steve, he's probably glad to be away from her- she seems like a grade A control freak beotch.
Steve would be just fine with her decision. He struggled to keep that zoo going, with the support of his family, so I can imagine how hard it is on Terri. Bob Irwin doesn't have to run the zoo and raise two small kids by himself so he can kiss a croc for all I care!
Have any of you actually been there? I have, when it was a little reptile park run by Steve Irwin's father to the tourist extravaganza it has become as Australia zoo. The transformation is incredible and must have taken huge amounts of (borrowed?) money. Now that the real money spinner in Steve Irwin is gone, it must be harder to service these debts. I guess none of us can really judge Terri Irwin's motives, but it must be hard for Steve's dad to see his life's work sold. He genuinely loved his reptiles. Just hope the animals get looked after properly in all this.

This is terrible. Steve was in love with Australia and his wildlife. Not only will it ruin his image, but LA IS FULL OF SMOG!! I have lived here all my life and with the EMMSSIONS FROM TRAFFIC, SMOKE TOWERS, FIRES, and other pollutants there is is awful and it will KILL THE ANIMALS IF NOT MAKE THEM SICK. They will be OUT OF THEIR NATURAL HABITATA. This is so DAMAGING for the ANIMALS. My husband died and I have been raising the kids alone. I also moved and came "back home" She isn't obligated to keep that business going. She needs to be where her family and friends are. If she feels anything like I did, in a far away land, lost and alone, I can't blame her.

She has been whoring out those kids since day one of Steve's death. I am not passing judgement on her but this is not the legacy that Steve Irwin wanted to leave behind nor the path he wanted his children to follow. She should stick to what he lived for, what he wanted and what he wanted his children to learn and follow. Notice how you never saw these kids before he died and now she is doing what ever she can to make money off of them and off of his legacy. Sad, very sad.

Atleast they are women and people who don't want to be singers or models. They want to educate and conserve our land and ensure species survival. Bindi isn't looking up to paris hilton and other idiots she looks up to smart people with souls. Atleast they have something to say that is not about being hot or having money.
I would rather people who are working their asses off helping animals make money than other idiots who don't do anything with their lives and make millions. I do not give about the politics they respect all species and making sure they have a future. Helping conservation is the most important thing and that is what steve would want. The money they earn helps buy acres of land that would be used for tree cutting or malls.

Bindi is an adorable, smart, caring little girl- (who happens to have lost her father).! Wasn't her dad stung by the sting-ray while taping footage for Bindi's NEW (2yrs ago time) show??
Seems to me this little family was working on a really cool children's program - while daddy was still alive.
Mom is out there with Bindi keeping Dads memory alive! Dad and Bindi loved the camera! I'm sure mom keeping everyone busy helps with the sorrow of everyday having to deal with the untimely death of her husband and the father of her children. She cried after his death and said she lost her prince. I feel they lived that kind of love affair. Who else can say that??
