She knows the score - she'd polished it up a bit, but they'd asked her to put in some of the old mistakes for comic effect in certain places. Basically they pitched it to her that she was so bad, she was actually rather good and the people want more. She did as she was asked for another 5 minutes of fame. She looked like she was enjoying it.
It's so funny when US-based internet bloggers and commenters think other people are oblivious to something and stupid - it makes them look silly because they are so trapped inside their own culture and mindset that other cultures seem peripheral and also go over their heads completely. So what happens is they miss the joke and yet think they have to be in on it - ie without them to appreciate it, there is no joke.
actually she knows she is not singing in english. she said she looked up the lyrics, but its still hard for her to pronounce the words. so thats basically the whole deal. she knows people are laughing at her performance, but she said in some interviews that her participation in the contest was just a total joke.

Some people need to lighten up. It is FUN, the girl is a good sport and now she is famous and people like her. This might open a lot of doors for her.
