Amy Winehouse's publicist is blaming those cuts on her arm on her cat.
Come on, now!!!!
There is no way those are just "scratches" from an angry kitty.

Update: Amy's publicist, Chris Goodman, from the U.K.'s Outside Organisation, writes us with the following statement.
"Hi Perez,
"For the record, as Amy's spokesman, I did say no comment. It was another newspaper who reported they are cat's scratches.

I love Amy Winehouse and I feel so saddened by this pictures.. Her music is unbelievable and that girl can sing. But clearly she lets her man get her down too much.

um despite the fact that i dont believe her excuse, a kitty could in fact do that to a person. i have three huge scars on my right arm that my cat gave me when trying to load her into a crate to move cross country. at the time, my arm looked pretty close to that. she freaked out and did these swirls around my arm scratching the shit out of me. that being said, Amy is a sick bitch and she totally cuts herself….but your statement is not true Perez

Since I've owned cats before, I'm confident that Amy's publicist is telling the truth. When my cats would scratch me (which was rare), the scratches sometimes were that bad. And since I have sensitive skin, they would be more aggravated that on the avg. person.

I don't know Amy so who knows the truth but I will say that we had a kitten/cat who was a total psycho and would scratch the crap out of people and I hate to say that a friend of mine after picking up our psycho cat looked a hell of a lot worse than this picture. Of course we had to give it away it was demented.

I hate admitting this but I have a history of cutting myself, and I completely agree that those are NOT from a cat. They may have just been light cuts but I can almost guarantee that there are deeper cuts on hidden parts of her body. It's sad that someone does this to themselves. I'm getting help for my problems and I can only hope that Amy sees just how distructive it can be. Not only to herself but to others around her [and her fans].

If those were from a cat, wouldn't there be a pattern of scratches together. I've never seen a cat just scratch with one claw……you usually see 3 or 4 scratches together.

I mean, the cat excuse/reason is probably not true, but it totally a possibility. Until my cat has scratched you, you don't know pain. He has made both my arms (simultaneously) look worse than that. That month, I got a lot of looks.

Actually, I have been scratched by a cat and those look very much like cat scratches. However, given Amy's history, I doubt that is the case.
My daughter was a cutter and those look nothing like what she would do to her arm. They look more like my arm when I tried to pick up a wild kitten one time. Yes she needs help but what good does it do the young woman that every time she steps out her door people are assuming the worst. I am sure she is not the first person to have Impetigo and cat scratches but because of who she is everyone goes into a frenzy. She is a young adult who has problems just like thousands of others.

Perez, those scratches can most definitely be cause by a kitty!! My mom addopted two kittens for my little brother a couple months ago and they were scared when you tried to pick them up so they whaled there legs and had their claws out. I had scratches like that all over both my wrists and arms for weeks and it looked like I cut myself. I even have scars now!!

that is the same dumbass excuse i used to use when i was a pathetic emo looser in high school years and years ago. they are clearly not cat claw marks due to their lack of uniformity (they should be in short rows spaced as far as a cats TOESSSS) and also their depth. cat scratches are much more shallow. not that everybody didnt already know any of that. its too bad when you pretty much wish for your favorite musician to just OD or take their own life some other way that way you dont have to watch them fuck up their life anymore. doesnt she realize how good she could have it??? fuckin kills me.
