I saw it last night. Brilliant, as usual. Shocking yes. Some say they went too far? Naw… Trey and Matt are artists… and anyone with a brain (no pun intended) can see clearly that they were not "skewering britney" … they were defending her!

this is fucked up. i watched this episode last night and i couldn't have been more discusted. every one needs to just leave britney alone. come on haven't you put her through enough. at first it was pretty funny but now you guys just need to leave her alone. i mean you can only go so far. this is a person not just some puppet you can play with when ever you need a little extra cash in your pocket. so i feel bad for luaghing at britneys problems before but i never in my wildest dreams thought it would go this far. so i'm saying this as a person who thought it was funny too, but now it is just ridiculous. please just stop.
Yep, caught it last night. I didn't like it as much as other "South Park" episodes. But it DID make a good point about the paperazzi. They don't care that she's a human and she needs time to recuperate. Anything for a buck.

That was really disturbing and sick, but I do get what they're trying to say. Not that the papparazzi will in the least get it… anything to make some damn money even if they drive someone up the wall or worse. I liked the (I assume) I am Legend reference with the pappo 'leader' roaring and pointing after them- they really lose their humanity at times. Oh my gosh, that was very disturbing. I didn't find it funny at all, because the sad truth is that could seriously happen. And I really don't think Southpark was making fun of Britney as much as they were pointing out the harsh cruelty of the public around her. At least that is what I gathered. The poor girl. I'm going to add to what other people have said in the hope that thick people, like you, can understand it. This is making fun of the entire culture the has developed around celebrity. It isn't just a comment on the paparazzi or the media; it's a comment on the entire culture, especially demented people like you and sites like PerezHilton.com. I'm not sure if the irony escaped perez but you shouldn't let it escape you. A celebrities life shouldn't be something one is obsessed with… their career is what you should be interested in. That seems self obvious but it appears the society is slowly losing that memory. It seems as if people are trying to escape something… like, maybe their own lives. This episode really opened my eyes about what we're doing to an actual PERSON. I have laughed at every inappropriate South Park - Sadam's death. Jewish Humor, Michael Jackson, Gingers - and have pretty much sold my soul for this. But, this is the first time it was so spot on and well done that I could not laugh. It was so true I couldn't find humor. Thank you South Park for finally putting a face on this "tragedy". Yes, worse things are currently happening in the world - but this is one of the top 5 abismal actions the US has a major hand in creating.

I get what they were going for, how we use people up, and throw them out, etc. It's a good point. However…….That went over the edge. WAY over the edge. I didn't find that funny, I found it disturbing. Maybe cuz I know someone that actually did that, not sure……..but I know I didn't need that visual.
I think the episode needed to be shocking to drive home the point……the paps, all media, public at large, etc., will not be happy until they "sacrifice" Britney or other celebs like her. I loved how at the end the dad said "We should leave her alone now" when it was too late……Just like it could be if we don't leave her and other celebrities like her alone. We don't need to know every little detail of their lives. I don't usually watch South Park and actually only did because my son was. I thought that while it was disturbing it was a well delivered piece of satire and social commentary.

Guess you have to 'get it'. It wasn't being nasty to Britney. It made the paparazzi look like a bunch of possessed (loved the Omen music) mindless retards lacking any form of integrity or compassion whatsoever. The reporter with his arms full of cash for getting a shot of Britney peeing on a ladybug. And never mind that her head has been blown off, she's got camel toe! A scar from a boob job! Or she did horrible at the VMA's…. Maybe because she's going through something that not everyone can comprehend and shouldn't have been put up there in the first place as her "comeback".South Park did this in a way that actually surprised me. When I first saw her head blown off I thought Oh my god thats fuking nasty and cruel. As the show goes on though, it becomes pretty clear. There was such a long silent pause after she shot herself, and the same when she was in the hospital. Gives you a little time to think about just how you might feel if Britney were to actually do it.

I thought this episode of South Park was shocking, but when seen in its entirety it felt like it was a very pro-Britney episode. It was really showing how cruel people have been to Britney and how the press has tried to push her to go completely mad. Despite the shock value of this episode, the overall message seemed to be that Britney is a human being and deserves to be treated as such even if she is a star.
