Although i cannot take a puppy I was glad to donate money to such a wonderful cause. Please do not let people get too caught up in the drama and forget the little guys that need our help.
YAY Perez you finally wrote something worthwhile, you should more shit like this and get the word out about all the animals in danger in the United States, I truly commend you for putting this up today, please do more blogs like this, the word needs to get out, the shelters are soooooo desperate and there are tons of adoptable animals dying for absolutely no reason other than lack of space and financial situations. People should donate their money to shelter and rescues, people like the people you blog about on a constant basis.

Agreed about Petfinder, as it has TONS of animals that need to be rescued listed on its pages as well. Both websites are wonderful. If people are looking for a specific breed, there are many many many breed specific rescues out there.

Also, yes senior dogs are wonderful as they don't need to be house trained. Once you adopt, you will never regret it. These dogs and cats are not stupid. They know that they are being rescued. Just look into their eyes.

Am I the only one who thinks it's kind of ridiculous that he's had this website for as long as he has and that it has taken him THIS LONG to think about using it for a WORTHY cause rather than shallow entertainment? I think it's great that he's using his clout for good, but I am dissappointed that it's taken him so long.
agreed, great cause, but perez isn't this a little hypocritical of you? didn't you buy your dog from a breeder instead of adopting from a shelter? doesn't that make you part of the problem?
I think this is really great what your doing Perez, posting these links. I don't view it as shoving it down people's throats like some people are saying. If you don't want to donante, then keep scrolling! No one's forcing anyone. It's great to see some of the worthwhile causes that are out there while getting my dose of celebs at the same time! This one was particularly great Perez, I will make a donation to the dogs because of seeing it on your site and my love for all animals.
what about the cats perez? You only seem to care about dogs but cats need our help probably more than dogs. Save the kitties!!
All of us veterinary students in the cayman islands encourage everyone to adopt from shelters!!!
azchihuahuarescue.org took 125 of the 800 dogs saved from a puppy mill in Tucson and they need your help!
I never post on here, and I doubt you read these, but if you do– I read your site all the time and I can't tell you how much I respect what you do when you make people aware of things. Yes the gossip is just for fun, but you know you have a voice and you really put things out there. Especially for animal causes because a lot of times they are ignored. You're doing a really great job.

So many people come to this website each day and it makes me so happy that your using it for a good cause as well as entertainment. So many people need to be aware of whats happening at shelters and its a wake-call when you actually see the amount of time a animal has left before its put to sleep. Adopt from shelters everyone not petstores!
Good job Perez! I just made a donation. Hopefully you can convince your wealthy celebrity friends to do the same. Don't forget another important point is to get all the shelters to participate! I live in Socal & could only pull up a shelter in Delano.

too bad you didnt think of this prior to buying a designer dog. If you want to stop animal abuse write your legislature about donkey basketball and donkey baseball. Already illegal in Maine and Conneticut, donkey games are inhumane and violent. Do an internet search about donkey games and make it known that this should be outlawed.

and don't shop at pet stores that sell dogs and cats… i'm SICK that they are planning on opening a Petland in Austin (South Park Meadows shopping). At least Petsmart and Petco support area rescue groups and shelters. Petland sells dogs (although they deny it - they are accused of getting some from puppy mills). If you are in south Austin - please boycott!

I also recently donated to help save the seal pups from being bashed to death, which I learned about from visiting your site - it absolutely broke my heart & I encourage all of you to get informed about the horrific acts against these poor seal pups!!!

I'm pretty sure you didn't adopt Teddy, Mario … Teddy is full a full blooded show dog. I'm ALL for adopting mutts (I have 4 cat rescues and my Mom has 3), but dang it, man, practice what you preach!
