According to a new Gallup poll, Hillary Clinton has passed ahead of Barack Obama by an impressive 7 points — 49 to 42 percent.
This is the widest gap we've seen in polls between the two Dem presidential nominee wannabees in weeks.
The poll was conducted before Barack's acclaimed race relations speech on Monday.
But, according to Gallup's Jeff Jones, "the initial indications are that the speech has not halted Clinton's gaining momentum as she led by a similar margin in Tuesday night's polling as compared to Monday night's polling."
On another note, looks like John McCain is benefitting from the loooooong and tense Democratic nomination process. Grrrrrrr.
A new Gallup poll also showed McCain leading both Democrats. McCain holds a 4 point lead over Obama and 3 point lead over Clinton.

The reason Obama wants to disenfranchise Michigan and Florida is because he sees his nomination slipping away due to the Reverend Wright fiasco. His electability will been cut in half. I felt offended by the way the media defined the man by a few sound-bytes and spouted baseless charges of racism, and Hillary did not rise to Obama's defense. Even Mccain and Huckabee realized that it is ridiculous to fault Obama for his pastors statements. Now that evidence has come to light that Jeremiah Wright came to the Clinton's defense during their toughest times, the least they could do is stand up against this constant misinformation. If she doesn't change her behavior, then I'm going to switch to Obama.
Why am I not surprised? Politics is a dirty game. I whole heartedly support Barack and I support those institutions that are putting their reputation on the line to stick out their neck for him. Speaking of voting for a racist, you might want to check your facts on your beloved Ron Paul. He has said so many terrible things against blacks, jews, and gays it would be extremely difficult to dig a hole big enough for his views. He has a terrible record on women's rights, civil rights, education, and health care. Voted no for stem cell research, voted to ban gay adoptions, votes for corporate interests, is soft on crime and weak on rehabilitation, does not want energy independence, and has anti-environmential voting record. Wow. Sounds like a real keeper. You should learn more about the people you vote for before you would even consider voting for someone like this. But I suppose after all, he is against the war, and that is about the only real difference between him and McCain it would seem. Congrats.
