Yesterday we mentioned that Madonna's new album, Hard Candy, was #18 on the Amazon best sellers list for CDs, and it isn't even out ’til April 29th.
Well, today the album is at #2!!!!
So awesome!
Mimi managed to move up as well. She's currently at #40, but still a far distance from her Madjesty.
E=MC2 is out BEFORE Madonna's record (on April 15th), so we're a bit worried about her sales. Hey, at least she's on the list now. Yesterday, Mariah wasn't even on Amazon's top 100!

This time I think Madonna is going to sell very well in the U.S. also. Not too worried about Mariah doing better in the U.S. cause Madonna is definitely going to kick her ass worldwide. I prefer Madonna's music as at least she takes chances, is more creative (though I do wish she had come out with this collaborative effort with Timbaland and Justin way before Nelly Futardo and the likes- she should be setting the trends).

Well if "4 Minutes", "The Candy Shop", "The Beat Goes On" are the best offerings, "Hard Candy" won't hang on to the top slots for long! "Hard Candy" is shaping up to be a tragic misstep in an otherwise illustrious career. It will debut at #1 across the world (just because it's Madonna) and then quickly vanish from sight into obscurity.
