According to new reports, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have donated $8 million to various charities through their non-profit Jolie Pitt Foundation.
Guess the sale of all those baby pics really did go to good causes!
San Brad contributed $4,402,317 and Santa Angelina, $4,123,613.
Their biggest donations were to Doctors Without Borders (International Division) and the Global AIDS Alliance. The couple gave these orgs $1 million EACH.
In addition to donating cash, Brad and Angelina invest a lot of TIME helping out those in need. Brad's helping to re-build New Orleans with the Make It Right Foundation and Ange travels the world with the UN to advocate for refugees.
Can they do anything else to make us love them any more?

To Jopinola: I suspect the name "Jopinola" is an assemblage of Jo (for Jolie) + pi (for Pitt) + nola (the well-known nickname for New Orleans). So it makes sense for you to come to the defense of the Jolie-Pitts. Brad Pitt has done a lot to help a small number of Katrina victims in New Orleans in recent months.
Having said that, if you'll take a few moments to peruse the comments on this thread, you'll find that those against the J-P's outnumber those in their favor by a very large margin. That is because most folks are extremely weary of having J-P's "humanitarian" efforts crammed down their throats when everyone knows that it is done for one thing and one thing only: Well-spun PR. They could easily make their large donations anonymously, but they choose to constantly parade them in front of the world, just like they do those "poor" third-world kids they adopted.
Lighten up, JOPINOLA, and while you're at it, take a moment to consider that your opinion is coming from a VERY biased perspective.

Connie - she can't adopt children in the USA - she's too looney and doesn't qualify. The USA has standards, and she just isn't up to snuff so to speak. Even her own father said she needs mental help. The adoption agencies here in the USA won't allow her to adopt children.
As far as adoption of Maddox - it was ILLEGAL and after she adopted him, they stopped doing adoptions to other Americans - he was bought and paid for and because of her, no other kids were allowed to be adopted to good American home. Which is real funny that she then turned around and chastized Madonna for the method in which she adopted David. That's the Pot calling the Kettle black.
When she adopted Pax, she told them she was going to be a stay-at-home single mom since they wouldn't let her adopt him otherwise. (she had to adopt him by herself since they wouldn't do it if Brad's name were on it with her since they weren't married) Did she follow through? OF COURSE NOT!

Interesting that no more adoptions to Americans are allowed after the mistake with PAX. Do you have a source for that info? It's absolutely true that AJ would not have been permitted to adopt through private US agencies regardless of her wealth if she lied about the home conditions (gypsy lifestyle, not being a stay-at-home mom as agreed). In some states the adoption might have been invalidated for that instability and deception.

Ok here is my take on thiings. First of all I think that Jen was just a responsible for the break up of her marriage. She was still married when she started filming the Break up with Vaughn in June of 05. She became romantically involved with him during the filming. Research it and read where she felt awkward doing the naked scene in front of her boyfriends parents. Pictures of her on his lap made the tabloids in August two months before her divorce was final. So why is Brad the evil one when she was also just as married as he and she was cheating too? According to haters. Brad cheated well so did she! Everyone said he cheated because even if the divorce was filled he was still leagally married again so was she. And some classy lady she is, admitting to Letterman that she went to bed with Brad the first night they met. If you are going to blame Jolie for the break up then blame Vince too. And if Brad is going to be labeled an adulterer so is Jen.

Someone who TRULY qualifies for sainthood? Mia Farrow. Ms. Farrow has 15 children, eleven who are adopted, and several of those who were considered "difficult to place" due to physical and/or mental handicaps. Not only that, but she has raised them all singlehandedly (something that neither Brad NOR Angie has the courage to do). Ms. Farrow has NEVER sought publicity, and has never allowed the media to follow her everywhere she went so as to garner the world's attention. THAT, my friends, is a bonafide saint, and anyone who suggests that the Jolie-Pitts are even CLOSE to being in her league, hasn't got a CLUE what a real humanitarian looks like.
I just want to point out that you rarely see Shilo out with the family and never alone with a parent. Does she not get the same treatment as the other kids?? It seems like they are so careful to make the adopted kids seem as loved they end up pushing Shilo to the side. I may be wrong because you never know the truth behind closed doors but this smells like future trouble for the little girl's feelings.
Jenn, it's fairly simple. Shiloh can't bolster the J-P's "humanitarian" image, but the 3rd-world adoptees can. So they trot them out every chance they get.
I think that instead of them worrying about all these kids that are not their real kids. They need to worry about poor shiloh……….this little girl is going to grow up with emotional problems for real they do not see it now because shes little but how do they always have the other kids out and shiloh is know where to be found. Women who get pregnant via IVF while suffering from eating disorders often give birth to children with health problems and brain abnormalities. Re: Grace – I knew you sounded like a level headed individual. Sounds like you have everything in perspective and your priorities in order. I think the majority of the "fans" of Jolie must be very young and inexperienced when it comes to life. What mature person would condone and justify the actions of Jolie & Pitt? All I can come up with is "teenagers". Also, you're absolutely right about Jen's butt! What is there to pick on, really? She's got a tight little body and she's adorable. "Friends" will go down in history as one of the best sitcoms ever. She is a TV icon. People obviously get annoyed with the "girl next door" label that has been given to Jen -apparently it's easy to hate on someone like that when you have a miserable life yourself. As most of these Jolie fans will attest to.

In fact, I've seen many more comments than in the past holding the J-P's accountable for their shameful behavior. If I could somehow persuade the J-P's to let me raise their beautiful biological child and tell her on a daily basis how loved and special she is, I would do it in a heartbeat. Thanks for the kind comments. You, too, sound like a very levelheaded person, and it would be really nice if there were more like you out there.
