She was 12 years old.
The news is especially sad for animal-lover Winfrey, whose Golden Retriever, Gracie, died less than a year ago after choking on a ball.

AMEN TO THAT , I LOVE ANIMALS BUT A DOG IS NOTTTTTTT LIKE A CHILD. MAYBR PART OF THE FAM but, I HATE WHEN PEOPLE SAY THAT ! giving birth and a dog ! lol !
Perhaps this will show Oprah that the "Universe" plays no part in what does or does not come our way. Things just HAPPEN, period. It's as simple as that.
Sophie died March 10.
