Now, sources are reporting an interesting development that will make the new episode a total must-see.

Anyone who's read the series knows that Chuck does go gay in the later books. But, seeing as how the show hasn't been enitrely faithful to the plotlines of the books, and the development of Eric, Serena's little brother, I think it's a safe bet that it's Eric.

Its definitely Blake Lively's brother on the show. Remember he tried to kill himself and they never really explained why….duh! Poor closet kids, its alright to be gay! It's Chuck. He's always the controversial character, plus it follows the story line. In the novels, Chuck is pretty much bi.
And he has a pet monkey. They should definitely add that into the show… Spice things up a bit.

Well, in the books Dan comes out and says he is. Though I'm not completely sure he is I think that guy he hooks up with is a one time thing, but I still have to read like the last third of the 10th book and then I still have the last 2 books to read. I think it's actually Chuck, in the books his character seems like he could be.
if it goes along with the books, then it will be chuck. in the books, he carries around a pet monkey and hooks up with guys secretly while he falls all over the girls in public. If it's Serena's brother, Erik, then that will be crazy. Again, in the books, he is actually Serena's older brother. But, whatever– the show is turning out just as good as the books I guess, even though they are so different from each other!
