   To all those people wjo are saying that animals are better off in capitivity, why the fuck do you think that is?? Because of humans!! We are a disgusting cruel species who have not only destroyed these animals natural habitat and sadistically hunted them to extinction but to top it off they are being forced to perform ridiculous routines against their will.

   This damn well is animal abuse - NO animal would want to do this, we are the only species that makes up this crap for amusement. Imagine if you were kept captive and then made to perform tirelessly and move your body in a way that is completely unnatural (like it is for this poor walrus). Whether he was beaten in to submission or a more humane method was used to train him this is animal exploitation at its finest. Perez you suck for thinking this is entertaining - you should be ashamed.

   Haha some of you people are so stupid. OMG the animal has been abused! Don't jump to conclusions. Just because there's a population of animals that become abused when raised in captivity doesn't mean that this animal was abused. In fact, many domesticated animals, like dogs and cats, have been abused by their owners but when we see that a person owns a dog that can do tricks, do normal people say, "OMG DAT DOG WUZ ABUSED!"? No. I think this shows an intelligent animal that was most likely not abused.

    Re: miki – Yes, Zoos are exploiting animals, and in that exploitation they also learn about them, and zoos help fund experiments in the wild in order to created laws such as endangered species act.

    Unfortunately you are wrong about ways that are completely unnatural, that is the point of these animal/human type of performances is that they do utilize natural movements to create these skits. Any trainer that doesn't risks their life. Certainly in other countries there are more abuses, however generally there are attempts to save those animals and place them in zoos that do take these things into account. Please point out what wasn't a natural movement for the walrus.
