It seems like 2008 is not shaping up to be a good year for the Hulk and his clan!
The family of John Graziano, the young Iraq war veteran who was left in a semiconscious state after Nick Hogan crashed his car back in 2007, has filed suit against the Hogans.
The family is suing Hulk Hogan and his wife Linda. They have also listed Nick Hogan as a defendant and Daniel Jacobs, the individual in the car racing against Nick, as a co-defendant.
In February, Daniel Jacobs pleaded no contest to a charge of reckless driving. He was fined $500, sentenced to 90 days of probation, had his driver’s license suspended for 90 days and ordered to complete 25 hours of community service.
The suit alleges that Nick negligently operated his Toyota Supra by racing against another car. The other car, a Doge Viper driven by Danny, is also owned by Hulk Hogan. The allegations are that the Hogans knew of Nick’s passion for speeding and were aware of his modified, speed racing vehicles.
To make matters even worse, reports that Hulk purchased alcohol for Nick and his friends on the day of the accident, have made it into the suit.
The suit is alleging that the Hogans were negligent and are also directly liable for the wreck.
As for Graziano, he is not in a complete vegetative state. Though part of his frontal lobe had to be removed, he can still respond to heat and light. On few occasions, he has breathed without a ventilator.
That doesn't seems like much a life to us, though. So sad.
The suit does not say how much money they are asking for, but reports show that the Graziano family has already spent more than $1 million in medical care.
You can't put a price tag on the pain and suffering caused by that crash, but John's family definitely deserve much more than $1 million!

That is so sad i feel so bad for that family. I kind of know how they feel im going through somewhat of the same thing with my brother who is in the hospital for two months. Damn they removed part of his brain thats really bad the frontal lobe makes all your decisions for you. They deserve way more than 1 million.

While I feel horrible for the condtion that John Graziano is is, I think some people are forgetting that he CHOSE to get in the car with Nick and street race.
If Graziano stepped in the car with Nik, everyone knows he likes to speed, then he knew what was at risk.
Even thou the Hogans should pay the medical expenses for the kid, it would be awful that the Graziano's take too much money they never really earned working. Poor Hulk…

Mr. Graziano, an adult, decided to be a passenger in a car driven by a minor child, who it has been alleged had been drinking ~ he also decided not to put his seat belt on.
It has been stated that Graziano was a former member of Nick's pit crew, so surely he must have known his driving habits.
…but Mommy and Daddy should have taken the keys away long before this.

Most insurance companies have a "lifetime maximum" of around 2.5 million… so another 1.5 million and this kid is out of insurance.
This is a legitimate case for a lawsuit. The family is going to need money for his care.

A driver has a legal duty to drive safe on the road, Nick breached that duty, causing horrible damages–these are the elements of negligence, and the Hogans need to pay. Cut it out with the stupid seat belt rhetoric–that has nothing to do with the Hogans' negligence in letting their spoiled child drive at dangerous speeds on the public streets, possibly intoxicated. Get it?
If people stop caring about what these people do outside of their jobs then this stuff will not happen. Stars feel like they are above the world because people put them there. Stop caring what their kid looks like or what they eat in the morning…. basically get your own life and leave them be and then they will be just what they are, people with extremely good paying careers.
Undoubtedly, John also "knew of Nick’s passion for speeding and were aware of his modified, speed racing vehicles" yet he still chose to get into a car with Nick and, to top it off, NOT wear a seatbelt. Nick may have been responsible for the accident but by not wearing a seatbelt, John was responsible for his injuries. Had he been wearing one, he may have walked away from this horric accident just like Nick did.

Nick Hogan will probably get off with just a slap on the wrist. He will get a fine and probation and will be racing down the road again in no time. There are two types of laws in the U.S. one for the rich and one for the ordinary man. The Hogan family will weazel their way out of the lawsuit with some high-priced unethical lawyer, and we will see them again on VH1 doing their reality series.

VA medical care is NOT free for all veterans. They will generally cover 100% if the condition being treated is related to the veteran's military service. If he is being treated at a VA hospital for injuries suffered in a car crash they will bill either his private medical insurance or probably the Hogan's auto insurance since Nick was at fault. Most veterans who use the VA have to pay co-pays for services and prescriptions just like everyone else.
This is not much different than what happened at Greystone, also know as Jumbolair (where John Travolta lives)

You can trust me to drive safely, I trust you to keep buckled up. As far as the Hogans go, they have a history of ignoring the law on the streets and brag about it. They will go down HARD. Millions of dollars will change hands on this tragedy.

I feel sorry for John and his family and all, but come on… he knew when he got into that car that Nick and Danny were going to race. And he was old enough to know the danger there. He knew they weren't jumping in the car for a slow ride to the ice cream shoppe. His family needs to settle with the insurance company and start getting the word out on the dangers of street racing and being involved in that stupid shit even if it is just going along for the ride.

I agree with the people saying that Graziano got in the car of his own free will. If they were drinking, he was the oldest and should have known better. But that doesnt justify what happend. I know this wil probably sound sick, but what I would like to see is Nick showing remorse. Breaking down, screaming, blaming himselfe; just some sign that he knows what he has done. It looks to me like he is just going about his life, like nothing happend! Im pretty sure Hulk Hogan feels worse about this than Nick.

Firts of all, I feel terrible for the Graziano family. The medical costs, obviously, should be covered. But the blame should not be placed entirely on Nick, and even less on the Hogan family. Hulk bought the beer for the boys? John was 21 at the time! and alcohol was not what caused the accident. He should have worn his seat belt, and Im willing to bet anything I have that this kid was in the car encouraging the racing. I highly doubt Nick forced him into the car…
The same thing happend to a kid at my school when I was in high school. Some people in his car were encouraging him to speed and he crashed and put his passenger in a vegetative state. I am all for treating celebrities the same as other people. He had his licence suspended for 5 years and his family incurred medical costs. Had John been injured in a car crash by a family that wasn't rich it wouldnt be an issue.
Im not excusing Nicks behavior, and I pray for the Graziano family but I think people need to step back sometimes and look at all of the situation before passing judgement.

No one forced John to get into Nick's car. It was a couple of guys out being stupid and someone got hurt. I feel for John, it's a helluva price to pay…but seriously. He wasn't in a separate car that had nothing to do with the racing. He was in one of the cars probably having a kick ass time up until they crashed. So here's the lesson to be learned. that one million dollars in medical expenses will be exponentially greater over the course of this guys lifetime (if you'd call what he has a life), and as for him being in a veterans hospital and said hospital absorbing the costs…obviously you have never been in a veteran hospital. they are deplorable. if it was your child you would want them to receive the best medical care and comfort possible. legally the hulgans should pay the family a considerable amount, both for the medical expenses and for pain and suffering and the losses they've interred forthwith.
if your son/daughter was in a tragic accident like this, had their frontal lobe removed and was in a vegetative state, would you be able to leave his side to continue going to work, paying bills, ect.? Most people wouldn't. I'm sure these people haven't. Think about it.
What a sad situation. Anytime young people are out partying anything can happen. Just because Nick is the son of a famous person doesn't make the Hogans more liable. On any given Friday or Saturday night young people are out in cars, partying and this could happen. I bet alot of people who are writing these "sue them for all they are worth" "Sue the spoiled brat", etc. comments are not much older than Nick and do or have done the same dangerous type things, maybe just not in a car that expensive. Some whos children do the same thing might feel a bit different if it was their child drivng. Yes Nick was driving, racing, etc. and it is tragic this guy lost his life but you can bet it was not the first time him and his buddy have done this. He has to take on some of the responsibility, hence his family does. Hell, me and my friends used to do the same things. I hope for the other family the decision to leave their son on life support, or to sue for more than medical bills, is not just for monetary reasons. I bet Hulk has already offered to pay for the medical bills or would do so, but why should he be sued for millions to keep this kid on life support. It is just so sad that when money (wealthy people) are involved the waters seem to get tainted. I am sure this kid is/was a stand up guy. I bet he wouldn't want his family doing this. Although I do find that the Hogan's should have to pay something, it should not exceed that of the costs of medical bills. Nick is 100% to blame for choosing to race but John should have made the smart decision and put his seatbelt on during a STREET RACE, common knowledge yes?
