Britney's Back….and On Top!

As we mentioned last week, Britney Spears was set to appear in the CBS sitcom, How I Met Your Mother.
And, surprisingly enough, when it aired last night, the show received its highest ratings ever!
Even more surprising, the critics liked it!
The Associated Press stated, "Britney the Trainwreck showed how she can still be Britney the Performer. The 26-year-old pop star, who previously was on a 2006 episode of Will and Grace, appeared fresh-faced and relaxed, capably filling the small role."
The Daily News stated that for "those who hang on every one of Britney's career moves, this bold casting decision worked out. Spears proved she can act every bit as well as she can sing, and with some of the nuances she brought to the character, you'd almost swear she'd been there before."
Could this possibly be the comeback Britney and the rest of the world has been waiting for?

don't f this up britney!! i hope this doesn't turn out like that time, right after she and kevin fed broke up, when she cut her hair and appeared on letterman and the press went wild with "brit's back!!!" then a few weeks later she's shaved bald, wild in the streets, attacking cars with umbrellas. it's obvious even though the paps love to put brit down, everyone wants her to make a big come back and get back to normal soon. what brit needs to do is get involved in a high profile charity for children. pull an angelina - make the media forget the bad things you have done. (like angelina's drinking blood and man stealing) reinvent yourself, brit! take a small, cameo role in a hot new movie and do really well - take acting classes if you must. get respected for your talent again! then come out with a live, acoustic album! you'll be back in no time!! call me, brit!

She looked good and even better, she looked sober and not crazy. I hope she pulls it together.. I especially hope those disgusting men who were using her and manipulating her and stealing from her are out of her life and she can go back to being a normal person- as normal as the paps will let her be. Her parents need to stay in her life and be of some help and guidance to her. They need to get their acts together and help their daughter grow up.

I'm curious as to weather this website is really just a britney fansite cause her performance last night was not that great. She looked stiff and uncomfortable. Amazing? Great? Are you serious? Her performance was average! Why do people overhype everything she does? She's an average talent overall and people like she's this phenomenon. HIMYM is a Great show too bad brit had to ruin the credibilty of the show. Smart move for them to get ratings but I hope they never have her back. The writer was correct she acts as well as she can sing … both of which she does terribly!!!!

I guess the expectations were so low for Britney that if she made it through her performance without falling over, it was considered a drastic improvement.
And the ratings justify the decision to cast her — the actual quality of her performance wasn't a factor. This was stunt casting, pure and simple, and it worked!

I watched about a minute and a half of it, all I could think of was seeing her stinky vaj all spread and that gross C-section scar. So if you love Britney so much Perezito, let's all kiss her fucked up ass, and then move on to the next psycho.
The show is always funny and with that said I'm happy for Britney. She did a great job and she looked great. Good for her, it's so nice to see her in good spirits and doing well.

This is my favorite comedy on TV and it was just a useless episode with a useless stunt to put on TV after the writer's strike. ONLY good part was Sarah C from Scrubs.
HIMYM writers - get on the ball, last week's ep was WEAK and so was this one. And stop with stunt casting (once was enough, learn your lesson) unless it's someone from NPH past or from Alysson's past work. Other than that, those 5 actors and the girls you get to play Ted's dates work perfectly.
BE A MOTHER 1st- HELLO, THEY took her children from her, and why is besides the point now, what's done is done. however, b/c she does not have them, she obviously has some time on her hands- might as well fill that time w/ productive, work related activities rather than sit around & do nothing or worse. besides, she has to fix herself before she can get back in that role, this was good for her self esteem. really, TOO FN CRITICAL.
But her acting stank to the other side of the Atlantic… She had the same look on her face for the entire show.

I thought her acting was horrendous. Good lord. Having the fabulous Sarah Chalke on at the same time certainly didn't help her cause either. Britney better stick to whatever it is she does when she's not acting. It's not her bag baby.
I LOVED IT!!! It was SO great to see her on my screen without having some kind of crazy news to it. I especially loved the ending, where Ted went on the 2-minute date, then Britney went running after him. lmao
Anyone who thought Britney was funny on HIMYM must not be true fans of the show. She completely screwed up the natural chemistry that was going on between the other actors. She's an amateur obviously and you don't put amateurs on halfway decent shows. I'll admit that HIMYM is going downhill lately but never enough to warrant another Britney visit. Keep her away from sitcoms. I thought it was a very awkward performance. I felt like I was watching a really bad middle school play when she started talking. You can't help but notice how much better everyone else around her was. The lamp in the background had more to offer.
I always watch that show, I watched it because I always watch it, not because she was on, I thought her little and I mean little part, was laughable. She was not the main part of the show, her charactor was a joke, and they made fun of her I thought. I don't think she added anything to the show, any actress with little experience could have filled that role.

I am sorry but there was nothing special about Britneys performance last night. Anyone could have performed that part!!!! I was more impressed by the actress playing the doctor than I was with Britney.
I watch the show regularly because man it's funny and yes it was funny last night but no more than any other night.
Anyone could look great if they have 5lbs of makeup on, you could actually see the cover up on her face.

I watch HIMYM every week because it's hilarious (has anyone seen the "annoying habit" episode? Classic!!! Last night's show was good but a little weak. I'm glad Brit's appearance got them the ratings they need and hopefully more people will tune in every week.

Let's face it, if it would have been any other aspiring actress, the performance would have been forgetable. But because it was Britney Spears, ratings were up and undue attention was given.
