Britney's Back….and On Top!

As we mentioned last week, Britney Spears was set to appear in the CBS sitcom, How I Met Your Mother.
And, surprisingly enough, when it aired last night, the show received its highest ratings ever!
Even more surprising, the critics liked it!
The Associated Press stated, "Britney the Trainwreck showed how she can still be Britney the Performer. The 26-year-old pop star, who previously was on a 2006 episode of Will and Grace, appeared fresh-faced and relaxed, capably filling the small role."
The Daily News stated that for "those who hang on every one of Britney's career moves, this bold casting decision worked out. Spears proved she can act every bit as well as she can sing, and with some of the nuances she brought to the character, you'd almost swear she'd been there before."
Could this possibly be the comeback Britney and the rest of the world has been waiting for?
We sure hope so!

I watched last night's episode, the first one I've seen. She was great.
Let's hope that this is the start of Britney's comeback. Thankfully her father stepped in and prevented what could have been her death.

i don't know what they liked about her….she was so boring! i think bringing her on the show was a cheap move on the producer's part. she needs to play something more along the lines of a cracked-out nympho schizophrenic! she'd nail that role!!!! LOL

I saw it and LOVED IT! I think she could be on a great ensemble cast show. Her comedic timing is great too. She looked pretty, healthy, and very happy. It was good to see her not looking like a train wreck. If she ended up on a tv show like that I would watch it. But it would need to be a show with lots of characters not the Britney show. She needs less time in the main limelight to get herself on track and keep herself there. I say good for her, she can be proud of herself.

OMG! Are you Serious? Are people really this stupid? First of all, her performance was not bad but it was not worth all this hype that people are giving it. That part could've been done by anyone. It was a bit receptionist part with a few lines and because she didn't look cracked out like she usually does, you all are acting like it's a great comeback? Wow, britney fans are total idiots. This girl has average talent at best. I don't understand the obsession with her. NO TALENT! Being cute, blond and ditzy is not talent.

I'm so happy that she's back on track (hopefully). Britney is truley a talented individual. She's just a woman trying to live her life in front of the world. She had problems but so does everyone else. She deserves every high that she can get. I hope she know that there are people out here that have always been a fan and pray for her everyday. Britney: Keep going. there are people who believe in you and WANT you to do well.
I knew the ratings would spike! And what's all the comeback talk? She was never really gone- there was never really a point in her 3 year hiatus when people went 'Britney who?'- from '99 and on, most people around the world hear 'Britney' they think 'Spears'. That and Blackout won awards (best international) and hasnt sold poorly, especially given that she hasnt promoted it. Anyway, let's hope she maybe keeps it a recurring role on the show!
The episode was really good, a nice comeback from the strike! I was afraid that no one would remember this show && it'd go off the air, but Britney came on and it [[apparently]] got a lot of viewers!! That last part was pure genius too!

Just because she taped a guest spot on 1 show does not mean she's fine! I tired of people saying "She's Back!" and "She's on track!" No she isn't. You don't go from where she was 2 or 3 months ago to "OK" in such a short time. She needs to disappear for a year or so, get MAJOR therapy, and THEN think about coming back.

People who normally don't watch the show only watched it to see Britney… more out of curiosity than anything.(I'm guilty of it too since I stopped watching the show sometime ago…) While it was no great shakes, I thought she was cute as shy, ditzy "Abby."The show will be back to it's low ratings next week.It's a boring show which is why I quit watching it.
I don´t know if Spears can act, but one thing I know is that she can´t sing.Maybe as a precocious child she was impressive,but mainly as a sexualized child.She can´t sing and I wouldn´t be surprised if she could´t act either but has always been useful for generating money from uncritical adolescents.

P.D. Just a suggestion , STOP USING EXTENSIONS. They will pull your own hair out, and your hairline will keep receding. Why don't you wear your own short hair for a while. You can still go wild and dye it platinum. Take the extensions out before it is too late. You have nice features, the extensions make you look cheap.
