(I know you all love America, so don`t get me wrong on this because Im not bashing your country) There is a saying that goes everyting is bigger in America. You have both the best and the worst of everyting. Great schools-lousy schools, Extremly rich people- extremly poor people, Dr. Martin L. King vs KKK etc.. It seems to me like its typical of americans to either be all for or all agians. Everyting is black or white. There is no room for inbetween or gray areas. Either you go to war or your unpatriotic.
I would say that most things in this world are not black or white. Most issues are to complex to just say that this is right and this is wrong. I believe there is room for us all in this world, but we need to respect one another.

I come from a place on the west coast of Norway which is know to be very religious. Going to school there was never room for understanding other than the word for word interpretation of the bible. Ill give you an example. I had a brother who died when he was 4 days old. Because he wasnt bapticed(he would have been if he had lived longer) the priest refused my parents to have his funeral at church. Because he wasnt a child of God. This broke my mothers heart. And it woke me up to the fact that black or white/ right or wrong with no inbetween is not the way to go.
5 years ago I moved to the south part of Norway, I meet my husband and we have 2 girls. At a dinnerparty I meet a Gay couple, and I got to talking to the both of them. I now consider them my closest friends. They are amazing people and I love them dearly.
Its now legal in Norway for Homosexuals to get married, and I am very glad. Also its legal for them to adopt. And that is what they are in the prosess of doing right now. Social services is coming by my house to speak to me and my husband about it later on this month. Whom ever gets to have these people for parents is going to be extremly lucky. My children love love love this two men. They even call them uncle. My children are not biased or yet corrupted by the world and what everyone tells them is "right" They are however amazing judges of character. And they are in love with this two people. We should all look to ourselfs; and ask what we can do better, not to judge or assume about others that which we dont know.
I believe there is only one truth in this world and that is Love. Thats the strongest message in every religion. If you believe in God you should leave the judging up to him, and until you meet him you should just show LOVE.

I really didn't want to reply to this because i did not want to get into some debate with an extremist christian or homophobe. I need to say that being gay involves more than who we sleep with. Just like you so called normal folks we are also looking to have families and find someone to love and spend the rest of our lives with. My problem with a lot of the comments is that there are too many references to our sexuality and people tend to forget we are people just trying live our lives happy.
