President Clinton was one of two president's in American history that were impeached. Clinton was impeached by the House but acquitted by the Senate. Intellectual people (not you) know impeachment is the first of two stages in the removal of government officials. Clinton went through the first stage. Her response is indicative of her maturity level. She's been in this game with her parents long enough to know better than to repsond like that. Whether or not she felt the question was fair is irrelevent. Like someone else said, she really could have responded better. And in the process of making the person asking the question look like a fool, she made her own self look bad and exhibited her lack of experience. She's supposed to be trying to drum up votes, not scare them away. And, college campuses are supposed to encourage free thinking. This broad just went down a notch in my opinion.
I can see where she is coming from. I'm sure the whole Clinton-Lewinsky situation embarassed her and her family. But honestly, I think that is a legitiment question. It really cast ALL of the Clintons in a not-so-great light, even though Bill was the one who did the dirty and went on trial for it.
Not a great answer but I think she was taken aback by the question and answered the first thing that came into her head to make the question go away- as it was clearly intended to embarrass her by discussing her Dad's affair. Come on, we all know the questioner was digging up sh*t- there is a political question in there, but Chelsea is not the one to be asking……ask her mum or dad, if you really have to dig up all that old boring drama.

i don't think the question was appropriate and i don't think the answer was either. i like how the student worded it (ie, her credibility) so that it would "appear" relevant…however, i believe it was 100% for drama's sake. you know they sat there forever trying to muster up the courage to say it. i can picture their buddies now helping them to word it just the right way. in conclusion to this somehow long winded note, i like that it happened. i just wish it would have gone down differently. and i wish it wasn't chelsea but hillary having to answer.

The question had NOTHING to do with the campaign! How is Hillary's credibility affected by Monica Lewinski?!?!?! As a child of a father who cheated, and knowing the fact that my parents went to counseling, and work out their problems because there was a true love between them, I can say good on the Clintons. It is a hard process and learning to trust anyone after that is ridiculously difficult. We all make mistakes, some are more troublesome than others. I gladly admit I made a mistake by electing GW Bush as our President. In the end, how did ML effect Hillary and her road to the White House, I find it a very positive thing that she dealt with the situation, worked on her marriage, continue to provide for this country, and all that together. Whether or not you endorse Hillary has nothing to do with how Chelsea answered the question. Chelsea is the daughter of a father that humilated her, her mother and her country. Of course, she is sensitive when it comes to that issue. If your parents personal business was thrown in your face when you were not expecting it, I doubt you would know how to answer it. I am sure, in hindsight, I bet she would have answered it differently. But she didn't have the hindsight at that moment. And in all reality, the question has nothing to do with how good or bad a president her mother may or may not be. It seems to me the question was asked just to be a smart ass. With the state of the economy, the war, welfare, education, immigration, I would have thought a college student really should have been able to come up with a much more inquisitive question.
