Perez, did you actually bother to READ the comments under the article??? There were lots of people there who LOVED Kelly's performance. And I think My December is a fantastic…..God you can be so feckin biased, leave the poor girl alone!!!!!!!
You say "disastrous reviews" and point to a link where people who actuallly went to the show say the exact opposite. Don't link to contradictory bulls**t reviews. Lame post.
I'm surprized Perez linked to this stupid review. Must be a slow news day. Read the comments to the reviewer..who was obviously not there at the concert.
I was there last night and she was amazing. Ive lost my voice through screaming so much. Ive read so many reviews of this tour since shes been in the UK and the were all positive apart form this one
this reivew is stupid. I think the guy just wanted to write a bad review. People commented the review that were in attendance at that concert and completely disagree with the guy. She is so talented and i wish people would still realize that.
Okay well firstly this guy was clearly NOT at the show last night because people who attended kept commenting on how awesome the crowd was. And seriously people need to get over hating on My December. As fans we want to see Kelly try out new things, this album was ALL her. We want to hear her sing songs that truly mean something to her..not poppy ballads that people think will sell. I love Breakaway but after seeing her on this tour and hearing the My December tracks live and much prefer this album to Breakaway. Kelly Clarksons '15 minutes' are definitely not up.

1. I was there at the Hammersmith show last night, that review is bullshit. The crowd went crazy for her, including the My December songs.

3. I bought the My December album a few weeks ago, listened to it and couldn't believe I didn't buy it sooner. More's the point couldn't believe i had listened to Perez's rants about it. Perez - stop being a bitter hag - it gets old, and kinda lacks imagination.
You're obviously running out of things to write about! Kelly's shows are always amazing, and yeah people may not know the My December songs as much as the Breakaway ones, but people were still going mental. She is an amazing singer and songwriter, and should not be slated just because of one person who didn't appreciate the sheer quality of the show. Get a life guys!

I WAS THERE! SHE WAS BLOODY AMAZING, I HAVE NO VOICE THIS MORNING FROM ALL THE CHEERING! HER PERFORMANCE WAS FANTASTIC AND THE WHOLE CROWD LOVED HER NEW MATERIAL AND THE OLD. Michael Bagga sucks, he couldn't review a school recital.
Everyone, just read the comments people left on the article link that Perez is referring to. The concert wasn't a flop. It was actually a rescheduled tour date, and the review were GREAT! Just not from this writer.
It's funny I heard her go on in a interview (pre-album release) she didn't need clive davis oops, sounds like somebody got full of themselves, her first album "thankful" tanked her second album was piggy backing of the massive success of Avril Lavignes "Let Go" which sold 16 million copies, which also explains why she was all of a sudden wearing cameo pants and converse sneakers, also the same songwriters were recruited chantel kreviazuk, raine maida, ben moody and even avril herself, so when you piece together the evidence it does seem she was manufactured, and its no suprise that her co-written album didn't do well she's no hit maker, for all of you who say it's about the "art" if that's the case i'd rather listen to artists like fiest then.
Her show was awesome. I really enjoy her My December songs much more than the bubble gum pop music that is so commercial. I'd much rather hear songs that have meaning and come from the heart. She is SO talented!
Perez, for future reference do NOT use 'the londonpaper' (as it is stupidly called) as an accurate guide to anything. It is the third best London-wide free newspaper . . . out of three, behind the reasonable Metro and the pretty dire London Lite. It is best used a emergency toilet roll.

C'mon, Perez. Did you read that review? You should know better. I don't even think the reviewer, Michael Baggs, was even at that concert. It was a review of the album, not the performance - and apparently he's not a fan of the album. At the end of the day, its just a review, but don't be such a sucker for a dramatic headline.
If anyone followed the link and actually read the review, and the responses, you'd see that her FANS all thought she put on a great show, and only ONE reviewer wrote negatively! Please people, take the time to actually READ and be informed on this crap! It's gossip to begin with, dont let yourselves be spoon fed your own opinions and thoughts! Kelly 's been on tour since september of 2007 and has received mostly positive, and even some really spectacular reviews. Why haven't you mentioned any of these? Do I smell an agenda here? Or is it just shit, which this blog is so full of? Mario, you are the last person on earth who should be faking "poor Kelly" sentiments. Thirty years from now Kelly will most likely be known as a musical legend. You probably won't be known at all. Clive Davis is a mogul with a mogul's ego who isn't above damaging his own company to gratify himself. This is the real deal behind all the negative spin surrounding "My December". It doesn't have anything to do with the quality of the music itself. But I think you know this. I think maybe you think you can cut yourself a deal with RCA if you grovel enough.
Read the comments below that review! No one else who was at her show agrees with this idiot. They all loved her and thought she was great. He obviously has no idea what we was talking about! I also think My December is a great CD if people would just give it a chance!

idk why everyone is so critical of her latest album…i thought it was a brilliant compilation of songs that came from her heart. words she felt needed to be expressed, she's an artist damnit…in every sense of the word and i love her for putting her more vulnerable side out there for all of us to see. i loved my december and thought it was a great "breakaway" from the pop crap everyone else is doing. keep makin' music kelly!!

I saw her in Plymouth and she was really good. I loved My December and don't really know why she gets such a hard time. I like that she seems to do what she wants, wears what she wants, is the size she's happy with and sticks up for what she believes in and doesn't care what other people think. Oh my God, this review is just horse shit. How dare Michael Baggs say Kelly has 'wrold class talents' or 'amazing pop singles'. I bet he wasn't even at the gig if he was there is no way in the world that there is even a possibility he might not have enjoyed it, because surely if Kelly Clarkson fans thought it was amazing EVERYONE MUST think it was amazing. Reviews should say how amazing everything is and not try and give a general appraisal of the evening. I bet he doesn't like eggs either because I love eggs and if I love them everyone must love them, but Michael Baggs is the one person in the world who does not love them.

KC's most recent album is by far her best. It may not be poppy and mainstream like her first 2 which I also but what a surprising sound she has developed. Her music is veering more towards rock, which doesn't do well for single female performers. Not mainstream anyway. But the blues and emotion on this album which she wrote or cowrote all of (more signs of talent as most pop tarts don't know lick about writing a song) was just overwhelming. Obviously, the media thinks if it aint cookie cutter pop it sucks and boy are you all off!

Having seen her 6 times now I can say that this show was 1 of the best…I'd love to know how this show supposedly bombed when it sold out and had fans singing through her back catalogue even after the concert had finished

I actually went to see Kelly last night in Cardiff and the reviewer is a complete moron.
The fans (in Cardiff at least) were 100% behind her and were equally appreciative of the newer stuff as they were the older songs. Everyone seemed to be having a great time.

Seriously, this is BULL SHIT. There's ONE bad review from a dick who probably didn't even listen and look and she bombed? LOL perez, you should go visit a concert yourself and you'll be stunned. I had my first KC concert yesterday in Antwerp and it was totaly awesome. The crowd went nuts. ALSO with MD songs. Like How I Feel. It was awesome. Her voice is awesome. Everything is. I know not everybody has to like My December but everyone has his own taste. I love it, lots of people love it. It is great music
Yeah, so I was at that gig Perez and she was amazing! Plus this review is the only bad one she's gotten from the UK press. You must've missed the other awesome ones for legitimate papers, not like this one that gets thrown at commuters for free.
