Still Not Worth Seeing

Filed under: Film Flickers > Media Minute

jamesellen.jpg

As we mentioned yesterday, director Oliver Stone is set to film W., a biopic on the life and presidency of George W. Bush, arguably America's worst president ever. And dumbest!

Now that George W. (Josh Broline) and wife Laura (Elizabeth Banks) have been cast, the next step is to fill the roles of the senior Bush and his wife Barbara.

Set to play George Herbert Walker Bush will be James Cromwell, and to play former first lady Barbara will be Ellen Burstyn.

James Cromwell recently made another similar biopic about a political figure. He played Prince Philip in The Queen.

The Stone film was originally going to be called Bush, but filmmakers are now calling it W. It is expected to be available for distribution sometime possibly in November of this year.

We still don't think we'll spend money to watch it. We wouldn't watch even if it were free.

If it were a musical, however, we might be interested in that!

BUSH IS A MURDERER AND A WAR CRIMINAL AND SHOULD BE ON TRIAL. HE IS BOTH MORALLY AND POLITICALLY BANKRUPT AND ONLY IS WERE HE IS BECAUSE OF HIS FAMILY'S INFLUENCE AND THE MONEY INTERESTS THAT PUT HIM THERE FOR THEIR USE. IN OTHER WORDS, HE IS A GOOD REPUBLICAN DUPE.

BUSH IS THE BIGGEST TERRORIST OUT THERE. WHY DID WE GO TO IRAQ???? WMDS THAT WAS LATER ADMITTED TO HAVE NO CONCRETE EVIDENCE SHOWING THEIR EXISTANCE…. YES BY FAR CLINTON WAS THE WORST PRESIDENT EVER AND THAT IS WHY WE HAD NO NATIONAL DEBT AND THE COUNTRY WAS IN FAR SUPERIOR SHAPE THAN IT IS NOW. KUDOS FOR YOUR INTELLIGENCE. FUNNY TO BECAUSE THE INTERVIEWS IVE SEEN WITH SOLDIERS IN IRAQ AS WELL AS MY FRIENDS THAT ARE MARINES ALL SAY THAT WE SHOULD NOT HAVE GONE TO IRAQ. BY DOING SO WE ARE FUELINING THE EXTREMIST TO WANT TO ATTACK US MORE AND ALLOWING THEM TO USE OUR ACTIONS AGAINST US TO HELP RECRUIT NON EXTREMIST THAT HAVE GROWN TO HATE THE U.S MORE BECAUSE OF THE WAY WE GO AROUND TRYING TO RULE THE WORLD.

Jimmy Carter was without a doubt the worst U.S. President in our history. Double digit inflation, the worst recession in history, and the inability to rescue hostages held by Iranian radicals all add up to the worst presidential debacle ever. Study, study, study Perez….after studying Jimmy Carter, take a look at John Quincy Adams, Ulysses S. Grant, Millard Filmore, and Herbert Hoover, in that order….then make informed commentary.

Perez, keep bringing us this because as you can see on your site, there are still some mighty brainwashed individuals who think it's all fine, y'all! Fuckwads. It's not fine.

Re: The Casting Couch. – F.Y.I. there is already another movie in the works about this disastrous administration; it is called "Post 9-11 Wizard of Oz" and, though Hush Hush, It will star Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice as the lost Dorothy, Vice President Dick Cheney as the rusted and heartless Tin Man, Karl Rove as the prancing Cowardly Lion, and President George W. Bush as the uncoordinated and brainless Scarecrow.
    Exciting….
    ————————–

President Bush is excited about the chance to star in a major motion picture and is already comparing himself to former president Ronald Reagan, who was an actor before ascending to the White House. Speaking from grave, the late President Reagan said, "I was Ronald Reagan, and that dumb fucker is no Ronald Reagan."
…Sadly, we must agree. Regan with Alzheimers Syndrome was still smarter and more articulate than Dubya.

We invaded and DESTROYED a country that did NOTHING to us. We obliterated innocents in the name of a lie. And you fools sit here and continue to support this retard. All I can say is that they are doing something right. probably all the pharmaceuticals in our drinking water…

But if you live in Oklahoma I guess you wouldn't know what is like here. East Coast and West coast represent…there is a reason why the coasts are the best place in this country because they are the most educated and have an open mind. Not brain washed to believe whatever is rammed down their throats but actually tought to think on their own and analyze the world around them.

    120

Bush is actually a very average president, not great, not horrible. He has done some wonderful things during his time in office and while you may not agree with all of his politics, he has created the largest marine protection site in the world, no child left behind has shown a great across the board increase in test scores, and has appointed some great supreme court justices. I'm not saying he is an angel, but his is in NO way our worst president ever.

Furthermore, he is very intelligent. I have spoken personally with people who have worked with him and they describe him as sharp and quick and extremely smart…though they admit that he NEVER comes across that way on television.

Many of the great things he has done he does not get press for since we have a very liberal media. I didn't hear about that marine protection thing until I did my own research.

I think he is a better president than McCain will be.

no child left behind my ass!!! thats why more and more schools are being shut down, classes are over crowded and education is based on how well you test not on what you actually know. How about our health care system? What about our reliance on oil? How about the environment? Bush has done not one good thing for this country. And all you bone heads that keep talking about Bill being a liar….so fucking what if he didn't want to admitt getting a blow job. Its not like he lied and led our country into a war that we can not win and have no justification supporting. and also do you nim wits ever think of how many civilian iraqis have died… I know we always think of our own which is definitiley sad that they have lost there lives for a ridiculous war but how about the over 100,000 iraqis and the fact that the country is in civil war now. NOt that Saddam was by any means a worth while person but it was not our position to remove him and it was Bushs ignorance in believing that if we killed Saddam that all of the sudden Iraqis would love us and we could use their oil and live happily ever after. Just wait till he is about to leave office and the bomb that will be dropped on Iran just to further fuck us before a new president is elected.

I'm not sure if he is the worst president ever, but it really doesn't matter. I wouldn't waste my money. Is the biography going to be a love affair, or show him for what he truely is: a not so smart wealthy boy of priviledge? Without his background, he'd be a mid-level manager at a big box store, wearing a short-sleeved dress shirt and a wide tie. Being a legacy counted a lot to the college addmissions office! In fairness, not enough time has passed to judge his presidency, though I doubt the future will judge him well. He may well be remembered as the president who protected our borders, but sent us into the second great depression with out of control spending and no oversight or consequences for corporate greed in the real estate market. I'm sure there were less destructive ways to protect us.

    134

Perez you and your left wing, brained washed, morons do not have a clue about what is happening. I have lived through 12 pres and you do not have a glue what its like to live under the worst pres. Try this. The Carter policies were intrumental in getting the present Iranian regeme in power, Had double digit inflation' interest rates were 13% to !8% for a car and 10% to 15% for a house with closing points @ 8 to 10 % Other countries didn't hate us they laught at us. Iran captured our embassy an held our diplomats for a year as prisoner. We tried a milatary rescue but had to abort because the equipt broke down half way , due to Carter budget cuts. We had oil shortages and rations at the pump. afill up was not allowed in alot of places. He released the Panama Canal allowing China to get a foot hold in a most important miltary postion.
Jimmy Carter was the worst of all time and the left wingers have been trying to pass this tag on to every republican pres since. The day Ron Regan took over Iran released the Hostages and Carter tried to take credit but those of us that were there no it was becase Regan let it be known he was going to kick their ass when he became Commander and Chief. So Perez no matter how much you and Oliver Stone try to pass off the worst Pres to the Republican you guys still have Carter in your hip pocket. He does help the poor on houses this is good.

The next time you are elected President of the United States, and are doing the best you can with what you have (oh yeah, and have graduated from Yale University and become a success in business…), then I can listen to your pathetic, liberal whining about all of this. Get over yourself. Of course, there are ALWAYS going to be critical remarks with regards to who leads this country, but blatant name-calling like a child just makes you look ridiculously ignorant. We are all entitled to our opinion, but behaving like a child when doing it automatically revokes your right to bitching…
Why do you continue to put your foot in your mouth here? I was under the impression that this is a celebrity site, not a Presidential-bashing site.
Seriously, stop it…you are turning off a great majority of readers by making it so blatantly obvious that you are voting for that pathetic excuse of a woman who thinks she can be President b/c her husband was (And if you want to talk about pathetic presidencies, I'd have to say her husband's was about as pathetic as you can get in the 20th century…)…

Sounds like a bunch of BS to me, but that never stopped Oliver Stone! Who are going to play the Panamanian prostitutes? It's got to be Edward James Olmos as Noriega, easy. And Jamie Farr as Adnan Khashoggi. Will Farrell as Oliver North. Daniel Ortega should play himself! He still looks just the same.

Gorelick prohibited our intelligence agents from telling law enforcement agents about suspected terrorists in the country. Clinton is, was and always will be a Communist. It is absolutely disgraceful that so many in this country do not have the educational skills to sort out the truth from all the propaganda. Our public schools have been failing for 40 years. The 9/11 terrorist bastards planted themselves during Clinton's administration, when our intelligence was overall ignored by him and was so disjointed that they could not put together pieces of intel to form what was actually happening. Thank Clinton for that. Thank Clinton for total lack of response to the USS Cole attack. And thank Clinton for Somalia.

Bush is not the worst president. I'm tired of the constant references to his being dumb, which just cannot be the case. Check his records, his degrees were actually earned. Dumb asses don't earn Ivy League MBA's.

I'm also tired of him being calle a war criminal. I've been in the army for 13 years, and we need to be in Iraq. If we don't destroy this enemy and remove safe havens our enemies so desperately want, we will be fighting here. These terrorist bastards are in it for the long haul–they have a 100 year plan to bring us down. Hate to tell you this but Iraq is never going to be a democracy, it took the United States 150 years to achieve that. Plus we are country that has a fairly common national identity, the sunnis and shiites hate each other. Stop talking shit about the President, He is the reason that there hasn't been another september 11th, he is keeping your fat ass dumb and happy. Stop being so anti-republican. Seriously stick to what you know, continue writing about those idiots in hollywood who live in a fucking bubble and who have no idea what it is like to live in the real world, and leave the President alone. Bush is far from the worst and dumbest President, get you facts straight because when you start spouting liberal bullshit, it makes you look like a fucking moron…………………

Shame on you Perez. President Bush was hardly the worst president. You are too young to remember, but Carter was by far the worst President in recent history. We had a full recession under his rein and inflation was out of control. People lined up to get gas sometimes for hours. Iran was breathing down our neck and took American hostages. Lastly, Bush has kept this war away from our shores.

Please stay clear of politics……..you are out of your realm.

George W. Bush is really dumb, but he was smart enough to "trick" Hillary into voting for the war. So who is the real dummy?

is there even a market for this film? good luck selling it.

  85. will there be coke? says – reply to this

    185

oh come on…if it's true it will completely rock. George W. drunk. George W. doing loads of coke and ending up in rehab somewhere in the NC mountains. George W. takes his girlfriend into Mexico for an illegal abortion in the pre-legal days. George W as a cheerleader at Andover boarding school and at Yale. George W. and his now openly gay former Yale and Andover roomate, former mayor of Knoxville and now ambassador to Poland Victor Ashe, "male-bonding". George W. dodging the draft and George H. W. fixing the numbers so son gets into the National Guard to avoid Vietnam, in front of other less fortunate sons. George W. failing his National Guard physical (either he didn't show or failed a drug test or something). The Jeff Gannon male prostitute in the white house (security clearance that missed THAT???) scandal. Just on the off chance it might tell the truth the movie could really rock

yeah, unlike you, whose blabberings on here make you look like Einstein. Crawl out of the anus of Faux news once in a while and smell reality, there is a world beyond the sad propaganda you are spewing.

Or did you forget the gay prostitute in the white house named Jeff Gannon, that got a security clearance…or George W.'s not so secret coke habit.

Good god meghan the U.S. supported Hussein back in the day. Grow up, pop the head out of where ever it's stuck. The Taliban/al quaeda are just the blasted mujahadeen that our CIA trained to fight the Soviets. It's a big freaking military circle jerk but people with the memory of a goldfish (i.e. none) just lap up the propaganda and run with it. Idiot.

The Bush administration was responsible for the 9/11 "terrorist" attacks. The Bush and Bin Laden families have been family friends for years. Everything post-9/11 has equaled major $$$ for the Bush family.

    Re: JC

yanno, J.C. people like you would take that freedom and liberty and the democratic tradition of this country and turn it into a cesspit of evangelical insanity if given the chance, under the guise of 'conservatism' which has been hi-jacked by right-wing lunatics who have hi-jacked us into one war and if given the chance will hi-jack us into attacking Iran and starting WW3. As far as being grateful, let me just say hearty fuck you to anyone who thinks we should kneel and scrape to keep freedoms that our forefathers fought George (ironic, eh?) the Third for. You red-coat, elitist ass-kissers can kiss my wide one and run your pansy arses right back to mother England if you don't agree with the principles this country was founded on. Stop telling us to be grateful, how ’bout get some patriotism about yourself, grow a spine, and fight for our civil liberties so that this country stays the great nation it is and is destined to be instead of becoming Jesus Christ, Incorporated where almost half the population is religiously deranged and drooling.

Has Oliver Stone been hitting the bottle again? Why would he think anyone would be interested in a movie about the Bushes? We have to live with their shit every day. I loved his movie JFK, but that movie had something to say and/or imply. I can't possibly understand what this movie would say about the Bushes that the American people don't know already.

You are bashing and judging just as much as the idiot female politician who was bashing homosexual people. I respect any American president since they hold the hardest job in the free world.
