Wow! Every time I think she cannot outdo herself, whether in music, charitable causes or on magazine covers, she proves EVERYONE wrong. Gorgeous! Stellar! BRILLIANT!!! All of the bitter haters have so much to be resentful of. I pity the hatred this brings out in them. They should just learn to L-O-V-E Madonna. It's a lot easier. In response to the boring themes I keep hearing:
1. Madonna is 50 years old. We're all going to get old, wrinkle up and die. Shall we be so lucky to look as hot as she does, photoshop or not.
2. The 'fake British accent'… I'm from her hometown and I don't talk that way. However, people always pick up accents from their surroundings. It's natural. How many southerners move north and everyone at home makes fun of their Yankee accent? It's a natural occurrence, not some silly act.
3. Washed up, has been. 4 minutes was released a few days ago and is the #2 downloaded song on iTunes. That doesn't sound 'has been', no matter how you strike it. Her last tour was the top-grossing tour ever by a female artist at $193.7 million from 60 shows that drew nearly 1.2 million in paid attendance. Mind you, this was done with NO US RADIO play because she was shunned by American radio which lashed out against her for protesting the war… before it was cool to Bush-bash.
4. As for comments like "why doesn't madonna actually do something to "save the world" why doesn't she use her celebrity to raise awareness for the people of TIBET who are enslaved by the chinese government. i noticed, that timbaland heavily sampled the opening music from the movie "The Shining", so 4 Minutes sounds a bit ominous at the very beginning, and ends with a beat-box sound.
