    Nelly Furtado used to be an inspirational woman. She sang about being proud of her heritage, about how young girls should accept themselves for what they were, and not try to aspire to the Hollywood standard of beauty. Her music was orignal, funky, an eclectic mix of folk and pop. Her first and second albums were pure genius.

    Then she decided she wasn't making enough money, so she SOLD OUT, started singing about how great it is, being "promiscuous", decided she "wasn't a feminist", and started dying her hair blond. WOMAN YOU ARE PORTUGUESE-CANADIAN!!!! I have never seen a blonde in Portugal!

    Makes me think of one of the songs off her 2nd album:

    "Paint my face in your magazines/Make it look whiter than it seems/Paint me over with your dreams/Shove away my ethnicity"
