As for the price cut, there was only one reported and that was Loverboy and it didn't even go to number 1, it was number 2. Speaking of price cuts, did Madonna reduce the price on 4 Minutes……hmmm, interesting. I like her anyway.

I prefer Mariah and you prefer Madonna. Don't feel threatened by Mariah's accomplishments, Madonna has her own. Be happy about that.

   The Beatles recorded together for less than 10 years and have sold over a billion records.
   Bing Crosby was the "It Boy" of his time and had 41 #1 hits and has sold well over 500 million records.
   Rounding out the top 5 that have sold over 500 million records are Michael Jackson, Elvis Presley and Frank Sinatra.

   With the record business in the shape it's in today you do have to give Madonna and Mariah their props.

    lets not forget the madonna has been in the business for near 30 YEARS, the beatles we making records for 10 years if even that….so it's really not saying much.     Madonna almost has twice the amount of actual hits then Mariah does. Dont get me wrong.. I'll give credit to Mariah because thats awesome that she has that many #1's but come on I can only name maybe like 5 Mariah Carey songs that are true hits. I could name probably close to all of Madonna's because of the inpact they had on pop culture. Regardless.. its great to see both still on top of their games

    Madonna had has 12 number 1's ( soon13) but the reason the top 10's (37) is important is that no one has had the longevity in their careers to be able to chart so consistently.
