Even at Paula Abdul in 1993, there were people behind the sound station in the center. This stadium is EMPTY! If I were one of those chumps in the stands, I'd be running to the floor, or asking for my $15 back!
They don't seel tickets for BEHIND the stage…you can tell the other seats are filled in front of the camera and the other side. I would believe you if the picture had been taken when she took the stage but this is bullshit slader…AGAIN.

Good for Avril.
FOR all the know it alls that know nothing…..Avril i an amazing act. She has alot of talent. Her live performances are much stronger in emotions then her on CD. Trust me, I love the cd's but live, it's to a whole new level. I have seen her 3 times in concert and have tickets for the SOLD OUT Kingston Ontario show. She has pretty much sold out everywhere she went and willgo in Canada and has SOLD OUT alot of US cities. SO shut your mouth you know nothings.
This picture is just lame. My SOLD OUT concert in Montreal I saw of hers 2 years ago looked just like that minutes before the show, specially behind the stage you twit.
She plays drums, guitar, piano, sings great live, entertains her crowd, what more do you want? Her blood…..

Regardless of the fact that the seats behind the stage may or may not sell…what about all the seats on the second deck that are ummm….completely empty. A good entertainer sells those seats - people will pay money to sit in the nosebleeds if it means seeing someone worth seeing. But you couldn't pay me $500 to sit anywhere in this stadium to see that waste of space.

I like a few avril songs but do not consider myself a fan….. but its so sad when perez has to resort to TRICKERY to try to prove his point….minutes before most sold out concerts MANY SEATS ARE EMPTY because HALF OF THE CROWD..are in the concession stands buying fan memorabilia, food etc….in addition I note that the angle of the shot includes for the most part seats behind the stage which are NEVER SOLD to the public! When I went to see one of MARIAH concerts, the arena looked similar to the picture you posted for avril minutes before her show and then filled up when she started.

The reason why those seats are empty is because those are "killed seats" which means if people were to sit in them, they wouldn't be able to see the stage. You should have gotten a pic from the other side….. this means nothing!

ok I thought you would like to hear this Perez!! I took my mother-in-laws nice to the show at the IZOD Center in NJ last night and is was empty also.. It was a slow torcher for me to be there the only happy note is that all the little 12 and under girls that were there with there moms had a great time. She only sold tickets for 1/2 the arena the whole top section had giant curtins covering the whole upper section. I go to alot.. of shows most of them Rock and i have never seen the arena like that!!
I work at the Air Canada Centre and that's what all concerts look like before a show. You should have seen the Foo Fighters last weekend. It was a ghost town then ten minutes later there wasn't one empty seat. Give us a break.

GIVE HER A BREAK! I went to her concert and it was FANTASTIC! Avril is very casual, not trying to be someone she isn't, you don't see her in the tabloids etc…her music is fun, lighthearted and catchy. I woudn't care if my kids wanted to be like her, not like some of the "role-models" out there. She should have full concerts. The one I went to WAS full and everyone loved it.

saw her show last night in the nyc area - meadowlands… was packed and she rocked… before her showed started the stage looked similar to below but quickly filled up when the lights went down…. (note most of the empty seats are behind the stage in this photo…) can't say that avril is one of my favorite artists but at only 21 she has an amazing body of work… she played three intruments during the show (guitar, piano and drums) and writes most of her material…given the choice of role models out there for kids these days i'd say she seems a pretty good one..

When Britney did her "mini tour" at the House Of Blues venues last spring she drew in more people. And they paid 150$ for a 10 minute show of sloppy lipsynching and dancing. Hey, you really need to tell the truth. The show was sold out and that shot was in between Boys like girls and Avril. I was there. It was sold out. It's Ok to poke fun at her but don't lie about it. Many people had cameras, I'm sure somone has a phot during the show. (No tickets were sold in the upper deck)

I live near buffalo too and while she doesnt draw a huge crowd, that arena is very big and seats are rarely ever fillled behind the state-equiptment goes there and you can't see a thing. Thats how most concerts at the HSBC arena are…

Perez obviously doesn't go to many big arena concerts. 85% of this photo shows seats which aren't even open for sale in any arena where the stage is oriented in this way. I am an employee of a such a venue and we never open the top deck or the area behind the stage for seating. Also, many venues have strict floor capacity these days for fire regs, which leaves the floor half-empty when people cram to the front.
As much as I dislike Avril, there's no reason to pick on her out of ignorance over seating.
That's kind of an unfair picture… No one sits in those upper level seats behind the stage. I bet it would look more filled if they took a picture from the other side

At first I was not looking forward to goin to her concert, but only 2 my suprise, I totally enjoyed it (my kids LOVED it) I was amazed how talented Avril is. You could tell she loves being on stage doin what she does BEST! Maybe more Moms should take their kiddies to see Avril……….Im pretty sure you wont be dissappointed

I think that it is really sad that she is selling tickets for only 8 bucks a pop. What happened that made her take such a gnarly nose dive?? I think that she just had way to much of an attitude? People will tire of that kind of attitude after a while if it isn't even warrented or coming from someone with "REAL" talent. I think she was always mediocre at best and now she is feeling the brunt of her less than stellar career. If the spice girls can re unite and sell out every single venue that they booked in some ridiculouse amount of time, litterally in seconds, then there is a problem with her likeability. Definitely!!

Just so you know I was there and it's not "moments before" that's like an hour before. I was right in the front and had people pushing me not for Boys like Girls but for her so suck it!
Don't count on when the pic that Perez attached was taken or that Perez that is being honest about it. He's been ticked with Avril and running a one person effort to spoil her tour as far as I can see. The review in the "Buffalo News" said nothing about a short crowd. The show I saw Friday night at the Borgata, a human size venu , but that still had been sold out for months.
Perez is a nasty guy with vendettas. He's taken one against Avril, and turned in an ugly way on Amy Winehouse proposing another English singer as a "replacement" and calling her "Amy Wino" after she quit answering his "concerned" emails.
Of course then she won a load of Grammies kind of sticking it to him.

People arrive ridiculously early for concerts and rest assured if they are a half decent act people are in their places and waiting long before the lights go down. If it's sold out it should be completely packed full of people with no room to move, but the people on this photo are really widely spaced out with lots of gaps/seats left.

I don't care either way BUT, if she can't fill out arenas, let alone SELL OUT arenas, it's simple, SHE SHOULDN'T PLAY THEM.
You are supposed to choose a suitable venue. For Avril this would probably be something like 200-300 capacity, under 14s seated… by the looks of it.
