I sometimes think it's true that some people (and even some pets) are too wonderful for life on this earth; heaven wants them back. That's why she was with us so briefly. I am only too sad that I just became a fan after her passing.

I was very fortunate to see Selena in concert back in 92. She was an awesome performer and it's one of the best shows I've seen. She is truly missed.

This was such a terribly sad thing that happened to this very talented singer. I think Jennifer Lopez did a pretty good job of "channeling" the spirit of Selena. I can't believe I read another poster say that Jennifer Lopez stole Selena's life and Jennifer L. should have been the one to die…hello…how rude is that? I live on the East coast and unfortunately most of us didn't learn about this wonderful talent until after she was killed and radio jock Howard Stern made fun of her. She was marvelous and I'm saddened that her young life was cut short.

I still remember walking home after school and my grandma telling me she died. I was in seventh grade. She was the best. No one can compare.
