Breaking international laws against invading other countries, torturing civilians, spying, etc. Not that America was that popular pre-Bush, but if there's anything that makes my life (working outside the USA) easier, it's when Americans do something like boo the president or protest the war. It reminds people that not everyone thinks that Jesus really told Bush to kill a million Iraqi civilians to avenge what 20 Saudi terrorists did that fateful 9/11.

I love this country. I happily voted for GW's father, who was an intelligent, committed politician and a good statesman for this country. I respected him even when I disagreed with him because he earned that respect.
HOWEVER–what has happened to the republican party since GW's father was in office is a shame. As a republican, I might not like hearing the president booed, but I respect citizens' right to do it. It is certainly less worrisome than the type of behavior the posters here seem to think they are entitled to give others merely because they perceive them as "hippie brats" etc.

- Not listening to people who had concerns about the US going to war (Iraq) and the bigger picture consequences of such effort …..that includes ignoring those who pushed first to stabilize the situation in Afghanistan first and to focus our efforts first in capturing OBL.
- He didn't even get to his ivy league school on his own, his father's connections and his legacy system connections got him in.
- Has allowed for the misplanning and mismanagement of the war efforts at the tax dollar's expenses. My kid's grandkids will still be paying off to those miscalculations.
- Bragging about not doing bad, you know the infamous "not bad for being a Cstudent" and all upon being sworn as president. Being mediocre pays off I guess. Plus, it's easy to say that when your family is powerful one and one has lived all his live out one's family's name.
I can go on for hours…..but that is just a brief glimpse of why many people don't respect him as a president.

One may learn a great deal more if there is conversation rather than argument and name calling. The differences have become much more than policy, etc. I used to believe that most people were just left or right of center with a few radicals on either side. However, the distance appears to be growing. I truly believe that the ire is stemming from the talking heads and a lack of research from the person spewing nothing more than their opinion. Unfortunately, I believe that the current administration has given the republican party a bad name. Keep spreading your message and maybe you may get some people back on track…from both sides of the aisle.
