In Touch Weekly is reporting that the singer was hospitalized over the weekend due to a kidney infection.
“She checked in on Friday morning because she was feeling achy and had a fever,” a friend of the family confirmed.
Jessica was kept over the weekend for observations and is expected to be released Tuesday morning.
“She is doing fine, but she is ready to get out of there,” added the friend.
And although Jessica’s boyfriend, Dallas Cowboy Tony Romo wanted to be by her side, he had prior commitments in Dallas.

That's silly… I used to get very serious kidney infections when I was younger, and I was NEVER hospitalized! I did have to go in to the emergency room, but they always just sent me home with some pain medicine and antibiotics and told me to check in with my primary care doc in a few days. Sounds like these girls have found a convenient excuse that most people will buy!!!!
Oh and contrary to several of the comments, sex does not necessarily cause kidney or bladder infections. I got them as a young teen, long before I'd ever had sex. Some people are just prone to getting them for unknown reasons!

I was hospitalized with a kidney infection when I was 16. I was in the hospital for 10 days. Mine was very serious. Has nothing to do with eating not eating or sex or bladder infections. Some people are prone to kidney infections. You could be anybody & get a kidney infection. Glad your feeling better Jess!!

I had a UTI that had me down for a week with a fever of 104. The antibiotics I was taking weren't working. I finally got on cipro and it worked. And yes, it is from alotta sexing. I heard later on that it can go to your kidneys and even cause death.

If a stone develops and cannot "pass" or is in the process of "passing" from the kidney then it will most likely cause an infection! Anyone can get kidney stones due to dehydration or overconsumption of certain foods containing calcium, vitamin c, oxalate which is chemical that comes from anything plant derived e.g. organic. So, to think that eating healthy and being clean makes you immune to such infections is wishful thinking. Do not over consume any fruits, vegetables, or calcium. Everything in moderation!!! Good luck to Jess as this is a very painful condition! Drink lots of water and actually lemonade is best.

It's not just girls who can get UTIs and the kidney infections that follow if you let them go untreated… Guys can get 'em too, especially after bareback anal. Any time you're pushing two things together where bacteria and foreign material can be transfered, you gotta be careful.
