The Preggers Man on Oprah

The much buzzed about 'pregnant man', Thomas Beatie will be a guest on Oprah's show Thursday.
Beatie's a transgender man that is expecting a child. Though he underwent surgery to switch genders, he kept his female reproductive organs and is nearly six months pregnant.
He tells Oprah that his current wife Nancy is unable to conceive and that's the only reason he's going through with the pregnancy. Beatie was able to conceive via artificial insemination.
Thomas tells Oprah in a show clip, "I'm a person and I have the right to have my own biological child."
He expects to deliver a girl around July 3rd.

Hey Thomas, I hate to be the one to break this to you, but you are not a man. You may legally have that title, but you are not a man. You are a woman who has had plastic surgery below the belt and on her chest, taken hormones, and dresses like a man, but you are not a man. Even if you have a total hysterectomy after giving birth, you are still not a man. With that said, I hope your baby is healthy and happy and can later come to terms and accept this strange situation

His/Her lady partner "wife" was unable to concieve. Since he/she still had functional reproductive organs he/she made a go for it. Good for them. They saved anywhere from 30K(surrogate) to 50K(private adoption of a healthy child). I'm sure that if surrogacy or adoption was affordable to them, they would have gone that route. Or perhaps a few IVF treatments would have worked for his/her "wife". Too bad most insurance companies don't cover infertility. At least they will pay for all you fat fucks and your fat related illnesses like diabetes, ect. I don't think for a second this guy/girl wanted to convert back to a "woman", but he/she did it for the sole purpose to create a family. He/she will be back on the male hormones after the baby arrives.

I'm all for people being who they are, but female reproductive organs make you a FEMALE. I know he doesn't have boobies, but neither do women who've had mastectomies. What don't any of you get about this? His wife, who has fertility problems, is unable to conceive a child. They want to have a child. Obviously, it was a decision they made together. Previously, "he" had three children (triplets) before his reassignment surgery. There is nothing wrong with this situation, and not one of you can justify that this child will be raised without love and nurturing, nor can you state "This child will be messed up forever." You say society has become sick? Well it's merely become sick as a result of the judgment and hate people pass onto others, just as in the case of this man who does, in fact, have every right to have this child. Just because it's not something you would do doesn't make it right for you to criticize him and his wife; you're not a better person in doing so. If you must criticize anything or anyone, look in the mirror and start with yourself.
