April Lavigne's feature film debut, The Flock, is going straight to DVD! Ha…did the studio (correctly) figure out that she couldn't help 'open' a movie?
April 'acted' along side film vets Richard Gere and Claire Danes. Too bad these big names couldn't help the film out!
According to a press release, the straight to DVD pic will be available for purchase on May 20th.
Wonder if April's managers will purchase a shit load of DVDs and give them away with an April concert ticket purchase to drive sales?
Oh, right, no one is going to her concerts!

i was at the show last night at the agganis arena in boston. it was almost fully sold out. i had floor one, and was right up against the baracade in front of here. all i have to say is she puts on one heck of a show. full of energy and all around fun. it was one of the best concerts ive been too.

the screener for this movie has been on the torrent sites for months. avril's not to blame for it going straight to DVD, it's just a low budget movie, and her part in it is less than two minutes long, she was never meant to be one of the stars or to help it reach theatres you tard PH.

Perez you need to BACK OFF Av, ok I was just at her show in Chicago like 2 fridays ago, and it was AMAZING, absolutely amazing and that was the 3rd time ive seen her over the years and it was the best peformance by far. Just becuase she has real talent and an amazing voice, doesn't mean you have to be such a jerkface to her! JEEEEZZZ!!!!!! and shes gorgeous so idk why u r hatin on her!!

if her tour is doing so badly how can Avril and her band be booked to play(on her current tour)in Ottawa,Toronto- 2 dates, Sudbury and London? That's at the very least 50.000 paying Avril fans in Ontario alone. That is probably more than any other concert act will draw in Ontario this spring/summer. I am not a fan, but you can't really argue with those numbers. eh! And I am sure the amount of sceaming fans she will make happy will be more than willing to pay for tickets, buy a t-shirt, tour program, parking, food, drinks. lunch pails and action figures will be astounding and bring a lot of money to anywhere she tours. Congrats to Avril and her posse on their success!

#1: She is great Live, has sold out mostly all her canadian cities, UK cities and alot in the U.S.. She has been getting great reviews by her FANS
#2: She can sing, and has alot of talent to sing live, play acoustic, electric guitar, piano and drums
#3: She has featured in Over the Hedge and Fast Food Nation already oh and also in Going The Distance as herself back in 2004. So this is not the first time she is acting.
#4: The movie is good and she has barely a cameo in it, so I highly doubt that she is the cause of the straight to DVD with her 30 seconds on screen time.

Not every A-list actor got their start with block-buster hits right off the bat. Furthermore, it's unfair to insinuate that Avril's role in the film was a determining catalyst for its poor reception (by saying that Gere and Danes couldn't help the film out). That is an absurd line of reasoning. I think Avril has a lot of creative talent and she is a hard worker; I look forward to seeing her in more films in the future.
