The Office gets a Spinoff!

According to reports, NBC has given the go-ahead to the long-rumored spinoff from The Office.
The Peacock network is expected to make the announcement at its upfront news conference this week.
The series is expected to launch after NBC's broadcast of the Super Bowl on Feb. 1, 2009.
It will supposedly air after the original Office in a 9-10:00 p.m. Thursday block.
Who do you think the spinoff will be based on?
Ryan and life in the NYC? Maybe Dwight Schrute?

Ideas:
1. Angela Kinsey is pregnant in real life… maybe she & Dwight get married & raise some Schrutes on the beet farm with Mose?
2. Ryan at corporate (boring).
3. Stanley's show! That would be hilarious. He's the best facial expressionist in the business.
4. Creed kicks ass… I would watch him just sitting there raising his eyebrows for a half hour. He's so badass.
5. Maybe a show about Kelly dating the hot brother in the warehouse?
6. Roy is yummy… he should have his own frickin' show too. Maybe he could hook up with Kelly? Or Angela (who thinks he's hot too).
Also, I think Dwight would never leave the Office… he's too genius to risk becoming another George/Kramer/Elaine/Joey.
Yes! Stanley..he could carry a show, too! I forgot about my man stan!
Ive been watching the original UK version while waiting for new episodes..and i love it too! Ya gotta admit the Brits have a fab sense of humor.

i heard about a spin off based on the show The IT Crowd a while back
it would make perfect sense if its true
I liked the IT crowd but it had the canned laughter which was pretty annoying. I'd love to see an american IT crowd but this one seems like a challenge to pull off
i can't watch the lame American version of the office after having been a massive fan of the British version for several years before hand. The American ISN'T ANYWHERE NEAR AS FUNNY. The whole point of the British version seems to be missed. It was relatable. The gloomy setting, the old crap building, the dreariness. The American version is all sunny setting, veneer smiles, it all seems way scripted. Just so lame by comparison. I'm not sure but it probably has pre recorded laughter by now. In any case, why won't American's watch the original which is better? Oh that's right, it has to have American actors or it isn't funny. pffft.

i don't know man… i hope it doesn't take anything away from the already classic series. they're having the same writers and production team on the spinoff, so i hope nothing is taken away from the U.S. version. plus i heard they were thinking about giving more attention to the characters who don't get much spotlight on U.S. show… i just hope they don't take anything away from it.

being the HUGE office fan that i am, i'm kind of pissed. like, why isnt the one on now just enough? season 4 is already not as good as past seasons, and the writers are going to go and put energy into this new show that should be focused on the current one? i'm happy that the people in charge pf the office now are going to be in charge of the new show, because then it'll actually stand a chance, i just… idk. i dont see the point in a spin-off.
This will ruin the show, take our any characters and nothing will remain the same.

theres already been talks of giving Andy Bernard his own spin off show. I forget where I read it, it was so long ago, but if Andy gets his own show I will 100% watch it…
also andy is probably the only character other than dwight who could support his own show.. cheers to andy!keep the original cast together or youre gonna have some upset viewers.

American Humour is obvious, like it has to been thrown in the face of the dumb people.
British humour is more subtle. They dont scream jokes at people.

The office sometimes can be very funny and other times boring as hell. I would not bother with a spinoff.

The Office is amazing! Spin offs blow. Basically, the spin off will be somewhere in the spectrum of being amazing and blowing, probably bordering mediocrity.
As for who it's on, defintely not dwight. He's very central in plot development. I hope it's about Ryan. He's a fucking douche. If it's about him, the spin off will be cancelled and then hopefully he'll never return to television or anything recordable with film.
Ryan is a big hot log wrapped with diarrhea and puked on. If you could personify the bowel movements which took place in 2 girls 1 cup you'd get Ryan. Either way, mediocre idea that's pretty much guaranteed to fail.
