Jenny McCarthy Is Fucking Amazing!
Filed under: Jenny McCarthyWhile helping to raise awareness for autism, which her son has, and discussing the possible causes (including too many vaccinations for toddlers), this happened between Jenny McCarthy and one of the other panelists on Larry King Live last night.
You go girl!

Jenny McCarthy is a friggin' badass! I loved every second of that clip.
She is a very strong mother and I'm glad she is taking a stand for something that she truly believes in… her son! LOVE IT!!!!
God Bless Jenny McCarthy.
As the parent of an autistic child, I can safely say that Jenny McCarthy is NOT "Fucking amazing", she's an idiot. The "link" between autism and vaccinations has been studied over and over, and every study has concluded there is NO LINK WHATSOEVER. Her campaign of misinformation jeopardizes the health and safety of children, because some parents might believe her claptrap and not vaccinate their children. Notice how after she pointed to her "plain and simple" evidence, she pulled it away from the other guy so he couldn't see it?
It hasn't been proven that vaccines cause Autism. My brother is autistic, and while I feel for Jenny and applaud her for defending her position passionately, more studies and research need to be done before anyone and come out and say that for a fact, vaccines cause Autism. I was vaccinated at the same time my brother was, same age, and I am not autistic.
Dear Jenny, Yes. I'm sorry to say you are acceptable losses. The alternative that the no vaccine crowd agitates for is world wide pandemic. If you don't think that the ravages of the past can't happen again you're insane.
By the way all that you are praising her for her heroics are not well educated on the subject. You are listening to what the media has told you and what she has told you.
Unfortunately their influence has led you astray. She has not cured her son. And vaccines are not the sole cause.
She really needs to speak more eloquently in order to have greater influence.
she is fantastic. It is 100% true what she said. I love her. She rocks!
It's GREAT to see someone who was known for so long as having no talent turning the tables and becoming an advocate for something!
I personally think Jenny is irresponsible … HER experience is HER experience and that is very different from the experience I have w/ my autistic son, and the experiences my friends have had with their autistic children. My son didn't get it from a vaccine … he showed signs from birth that something wasn't right. I applaud her for talking about her experience but to say kids shouldn't be getting vaccines isn't right. I think what we can ALL agree on is treating these kids - the government should be paying for ABA therapy for all autistic kids. It is the ONLY proven thing to work to reverse autism.
In 2000, the Institute of Medicine (IOM) at the National Academy of Sciences, at the request of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the NIH, conducted a review of all the evidence related to the MMR vaccine and autism. This independent panel examined completed studies, on-going studies, published medical and scientific papers, and expert testimony to assess whether or not there was a link between autism and the MMR vaccine. The IOM concluded that the evidence reviewed did not support an association between autism and the MMR vaccine. This and other conclusions from the IOM review were released in April 2001 (Immunization Safety Review Committee 2001).
Also in 2000, The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), a professional organization for pediatricians with over 55,000 members, held a conference on the MMR vaccine and autism. Parents, scientists, and practitioners presented information on this topic to a multidisciplinary panel of experts. Based on its review, the AAP also found that the available evidence did not support the theory that the MMR vaccine caused autism or related disorders. The AAP policy statement appeared in the May issue of Pediatrics (Halsey et al 2001).
LOVE that she did not hold back or sugar coat anything!
SHE ROCKS!!!
Re: PISSED OFF –
If you're kids are vaccinated, then WTF are you so afraid of?
And why are you threatening to shoot people? It must really suck to be you.
If you have seen her interviews in the past or read her book she is not saying vaccines cause Autism. She is saying that some children are more at risk then others and vaccines can act as a "trigger". Children are given WAY too many
vaccines now.
My third child was fine, reaching milestones, talking, smiling and after his 16 months vaccines(5 shots) I had a different child within weeks.
I don't care what "medical experts" say there is not a link. Too many families have seen a child regress after vaccines.
It is an epidemic at this point and it is time to open our eyes. 1 in 150 children are being diagnosed. The cost of caring for these children is HUGE.
I commend her for bringing awareness.
I just wanted to say a couple of things. First of all, no she isn't necessarily a medical expert. She has a child with autism, and believe me she has enough knowledge in that realm just from personal experience. An MD in life if you want to call it that. She does not act as if her son has been cured. I have read her book. She has found a diet which has made life easier for her child. If it could make other children's life easier, isn't it worth a try? When faced with a serious medical condition, you get to a point where you are willing to try ANYTHING. Also, I do believe that too many vaccines are given too quickly. Just in the last twenty years, do you know how many more vaccines are given? A person's immune system cannot handle that. I had a seizure and stopped breathing from the pertussis vaccine and contracted measles from the measles vaccine. Yes, you can actually get measles from the vaccine since measle, mumps, and rubella are all live bacteria in the vaccine. I'm just an average everyday person. There are always two sides to a picture. Yes, vaccines help prevent illnesses. There are also people who's lives are seriously altered because of it. Jenny is just trying to stand up for those people. Good for her!
Re: shesnotadoctor – you are obviously not a parent of a child with Autism. I AM. So I get what she is saying. You do not.
Since when did Jenny go to college and get a science degree!! She's just going on emotions!
Re: ar –
Your pessimism is really disappointing. It must suck to be you.
YOU GO GIRL!
I just picked up my asthma/allegry medicine. A total of 4 different medications! Even though I tell my doctor, I need an allergy test. She won't approve it(HMO). I can't help but think If I found the root of my allergies, I wouldn't need all 4 bottles of medication. The drug companies rule this country & medicine. Anyone who stands up is labeled as an "hysteric" because the system is so powerful and many of you people have bought into their power play of not questioning western medicine. She is only asking for some minor controls and screening tests to be put in place which the drug companies and insurance companies don't want! She is not against vaccines. America was built my those who questioned Authority & demanded a better way. She is a true American Hero.
Re: Another McAuley Grrl – You are awesome! I was born in 1969……you would be surprised how many people read this that are lots older. My 70 year old Dad reads Perez every day! My son is 8 and has Autism. I get what she is saying and doing. So for everyone else who cannot relate, PLEASE try and empathize insted of critisizing.
She did great on the show.. I actually watch it last night… Especially my son is Autistic.. And I have a lot of respect for her..
watched it and she knows her stuff….she's an amazing mom….you go girl!!
RE: Aislinn
For such an educated woman, I find it hilarious that you are refering to someone as a "big whore loser" - did you learn that while getting your MD, Ph.D, SLP-CCC (I learnt that saying in the playground).
Also, I agree with Charles Martel - why are people getting angry saying not to send unvaccinated children to school with their vaccinated kids - if they have been vaccinated they are protected no matter who they come in contact with!
Yes, you are. That is the way it is taught in every medical school in the country. Would you have us go back to the days of smallpox outbreaks? The guidelines shouldnt be accelerated, but the loss of a few children are worth the benefits as far as the World medical establishment is concerned.
Re: PISSED OFF –
You're obviously a moron who has never watched a child dwindle away or suffer serious health problems after receiving a shot. And guess what? It's not as rare as the doctor's say it is. Have you actually looked at what's in the shots? It's not just thimerosal, it's aluminum, formaldehyde, antifreeze…the list goes on.
After watching my nephew's reaction to his shots when he was 1 1/2, there was NO WAY IN HELL I was going to vaccinate my daughter. Not until they take all that shit out of their shots. If you want to shove it in your kid, have at it, but until you've suffered like one of these children or their parents have, you can stick it up your ass. Is Jenny being emotional? You're goddamned right she is! And all you self-righteous pricks can go to hell. All I can say for the "parents" out there who are speaking so horribly of these parents who have decided to hold off on vaccinations, just be thankful your child didn't have this happen to them so you can continue being the arrogant assholes you are.
TAKE THE SHIT OUT OF THE SHOTS AND ADMINISTER THEM MORE RESPONSIBLY. THAT'S WHAT SHE'S SAYING. GET OVER IT.
When did Jenny go to medical school? Alittle info can be a dangerous thing. What she is doing is dangerous.
Vaccinations are ridiculous. Hep B vaccinations are the ones related to autism. A person contracts hep b from sex, blood transfusions, and IV drug use. Now, the vaccination is only good for a maximum for 8 years. The hep b vaccination is given to babies and toddlers, how many kinds under the age of 8 are having sex, getting blood transfusions, and using IV drugs? Vaccinations are a multi billion dollar a year industry. Do the math. Jenny is right.
Re: Jesus Christ – thank you JESUS!!!
Re: natalie – actually, children who are vaccinated are dangerous to those who are not. vaccinations are synthetic, where do you think most of the new strains of the old illnesses come from? Society is so brainwashed. Sad.
There is NO CORRELATION between immunizations and autism…read the research. Bravo to Jenny for raising awareness though!
Re: JK –
no, i watched it live last night. definitely new.
This is not just an emotional issue with her…she IS emotional at the time, but if you have read any of her interviews or books, she has done her research. Most (not all) doctors are going to deny the shots are one of the causes because the pharmaceutical companies pay them to. For the people who deny these shots have anything to do with it just look at the ingredients in them….they consist of chicken embryos, animal feces, etc…I mean we won't let our kids touch raw meat…but we can inject this crap into them…? Anyways, it actually a good thing to have people such as Jenny to be able to speak what many of us feel but just don't have such a platform to say it….
Jenny McCarthy has done EXTENSIVE research on Autism. She is no fool. She may have been rather passionate in the debate on Larry King, but that is besides the point. She's only trying to do the right thing. People shouldn't tear her down for that. Autism is something that needs as much awareness as possible! GO JENNY!
only you perez would post something like this without even considering the other side of the argument, Jenny McCarthy is giving the public false hope when it comes to saying diet cures autism, and is dangerously spreading false information regarding vaccinations being the cause of autism. When she has a MD or PHD or even a BA beside her name I will consider her someone to listen to on this topic.
Did she even graduate from high school? Good medicine must be determined by scientific methods and studies, not anecdotes. She does a disservice to others suffering from Autism acting as if she can even understand what vaccines do and the science that has been put forth to make them mandated for all children. Vaccines save lives.
I watched her on Larry King and she NEVER once said to stop vaccinating children. She said they get too many shots all at once, that some children cannot tolerate the vaccines as well as others do and as a result more research needs to be done and that vaccines need to be MODIFIED. So stop acting like she said she's anti-vaccinations, not once did she say that.
She's a nut job and is giving false hope to poor parents desperate for anything. Autism CANNOT be cured….I'm happy that her kid is doing better but it is negligent to go around preaching against vaccines and saying that the ketogenic diet will cure your kid of autism. Early intervention and research dollars - Jenny shut your trap….
UHHHHH…they have taken the "shit" out of the shots. Look up the studies people. The reason there is more autisem is that it is being diagnosed correctly now than in the past. 30 years ago children like these were diagnosed as being slow, or retarded because they did not know what or how to diagnose autism. Now that that there is more education and tests, it is being correctly diagnosed and therefore the rates are going up. Also…look at the studies…countries that do not vaccine as much are now starting to report growing autism rates because they no know how to correctly diagnose the disease. When I took the shots they were loaded with mercury and thimersol and that is when there was no autism "supposedly", now they have removed those two things and autism rates are higher than back then….this is because our doctors can CORRECTLY DIAGNOSE IT!!!!!
She is a retard who should jump in front of a bus with her kid in her hand!
Re: shesnotadoctor – Educate yourself a bit as well please. She doesn't say vacs are bad..she simply says they are not all size fits all. Meaning not every child should get them all according to one schedule. She is only wanting someone to look into it. Perhaps reading more about her experience would help you talk with some intelligence before you throw her under the bus.
This topic pisses my off. We won't give our kids adult doses of tylenol, but we'll inject a six pound baby with the same vaccination that we would give to a 150 pound adult? Not only do we give them one such vaccination, but we give them over 30 of these shots in the first year of their life. If you've had your kid vaccinated then you don't have to worry about the rest of us nonvaccinated people affecting you. If you haven't and think that measles or the flu is more of a risk than autism, then by all means vax away. Meningitis ok, that's deadly so it's reasonably necessary to vax for that. But, does a newborn baby really need to be vaccinated for Hepatitis B, a disease that is contracted via dirty needles or unprotected sex? Somehow I don't thinks it's worth the risk. But, maybe that's just me?
Jenny McCarthy has never claimed that her son is "cured" she says time and time again that his autism will never be cured….he is just in recovery from it. I think–watching that clip–that was the bravest thing I have ever seen a celebrity do in regards to taking a stand. It is so obvious that there is a correlation between the vaccinations and autism, and something needs to be done. My girls got something like 10 or so more vaccines than I ever did, and while I never even considered them not having it done, I was a nervous wreck for days after. What is the big deal about just admitting that there is a link and then trying to do something about it??
Go Jenny! In 1983, toddlers got 10 vaccinations, and now? 36! My kids are definitely not going to have 36 such injections in their tiny bodies….god only knows all the chemicals they put in them. I'm glad to hear she's a fighting voice for so many helpless parents.
Re: Igetwhatsheissaying –
Thanks
Oh and also - for all the people that keep quoting doctors and various bogus studies on the links between vaccines and autism - maybe you don't read the news.
Just one month ago the story came out that our government ACKNOWLEDGED THAT A VACCINATION TRIGGERED A LITTLE GIRLS AUTISM.
"Still, on the steps of a U.S Federal Court in Atlanta Thursday morning, Athens, Ga., neurologist Dr. Jon Poling and his wife, Terry Poling, made it clear that they believed vaccines triggered the encephalitis that led to their 9-year-old daughter Hannah's autismlike symptoms.
"I wanted to know why my daughter, who had been completely normal until she received [five vaccines for nine different diseases], in one day was no longer there … no longer responding," Terry Poling told the crowd of reporters present.
The Polings said Hannah received the battery of vaccines in 2000, when she was 19 months old. Shortly after these shots, they said she suffered from a fever that left her screaming and arching her back. Following this, they said, Hannah began showing classic signs of autism — staring at lights, running in circles and staring at fans."
When are people going to realize that your government and drug companies ARE NOT LOOKING OUT FOR YOUR BEST INTERESTS?
she's wonderful
DONT have your baby vaccinated until you know his or her immunological status. You wouldn't vaccinate a baby with a cold….but babies with blank immunological slates are vaccinated every day. WAIT. Just wait.
to any unbiased, objective viewer, it's clear Jenny was was only really capable of playing the emotional card. i give her credit for remaining strong during her own ordeal with her son's autism. beyond that, she failed miserably in bringing anything new or, for that matter, valid to the the table with regard to the issues surrounding autism. more than anything, she sounded like a hyper-neurotic conspiracist rather than a well-informed advocate for autistic children and families. bottom line is that the cause(s) of autism are still unclear, with emerging research leaning towards a genetic basis triggered by environmental factors which may or may not include vaccinations. vaccination (including the present-day quantity and schedule) is not the easy scapegoat she makes it out to be. if anything, she should have just stuck with the "we need to push for vaccinated vs. unvaccinated children research" argument.
I am majoring in a field that works with early intensive treatment for kids with autism through behavior modification therapy. It is the only scientifically backed therapy with a very high success rate. There is also NO vaccine autism link! I think Jenny McCarthy can do great things for this field she just needs to get off the vaccine link!
Sure… let's not vaccinate our kids so they can get polio and other horrific diseases. Jenny needs to shut up ASAP.
I also have an autistic child–so I appreciate her passion. However, I thought she came across irrational and annoying. Her voice kept getting louder and more high pitched. When you are "just" an actor…you gotta be careful about thinking you know more than everyone in the medical community (Tom Cruise, anyone??!)
she did not say no vaccinations…..she said "we get they are saving lives" and then "too many shot too soon"…..
Ok
There is no scientific proof vaccinations cause autism.
there is proof if you do not get them vaccinated they can get measles, mumps, rubella, polio.
Remember polio thats right it is "dead" because of the vaccine.
God ahead stop taking vaccines and watch all the horrible diseases come back.
Two if it does cause autism why do some get it some don't , THINK PEOPLE
Of couse her son could have gotten a reaction that is the risk with any medical procedure.
You can pass out getting blood drawn (and they arent injecting anything into YOUR body).
Sometimes you can't do what you want because if you did what you wanted to hepatitis B will come back into fasion
If you want to live somewhere and not care about the other people around you then go ahead and do what you want with your kid, in this country diseases are reportable and you cannot take it out on your neighbors.
Also why people who are suicidal and homicidal are allowed to be hospitalized against their will.
If people just did what they wanted we would all live in fear about being murdered by homicidal people and live in fear of diseases and another plague/ disaster
I love her! The stats are staggering and NO ONe wants to be an advocate for these children. We need more Jennys out there fighting this fight before the 1 out 160 children affected w/autism gets worse. All these doctors are so damn afraid to admit that possibly the vaccines are causing these problems (w/genetics and/or environment) and why do our children need to victims. Maybe if "their" kids were affected and had to deal w/it they would think differently.
i really like what Jenny has to say — but i will say this about the gentlemen speaking, he's one hell of a doctor. He's name is Dr. Harvey Karp and he's pretty awesome. I do think it's terrible that this will be his snippet of fame on blogs
too bad.
I have a huge problem with her giving out false scientific information. She is doing such a disservice to people.
Jenny is not amazing. As a physician, I can tell you that there has never been a proven link between vaccines and autism. People forget that vaccines save millions of lives each year. Ask your grandma what polio or rubella was like. Jenny should be ashamed.
jenny is my hero. although it took celebrity and media to raise attention to the ever increasing disorder of autism, i am so proud of her and her avid support to raise awareness amongst amerians. there is no set cause of autism, therefore there is no set cure. but, jenny makes a great point. it's more than coinsidence that these children are being diagnosed with autism after the age of 2 (and after there vaccinations). While, vaccinations are important and do save lives, there are cons to the them such as the development and diagnoses of autism. Yay Jenny! You go girl!
Thank you Jenny, please keep it up, don't let them silence you. You are speaking for many others who are ignored by the dr.s and media. What you are saying is unpopular and you will have to keep fighting to be heard but we're all behind you.
way to go jenny…tell those bastards
Jenny McCarthy is a fucking idiot. Vaccinations don't cause autism, and vaccines have saved many, many lives. She's emotional about this issue (totally understandable), but she's wrongheaded.
Re: Lisa – I saw her at a national conference for speech-language pathologists, who work with children with autism all the time. She was so out of place. She was surrounded by well educated people (all masters or ph. d. level) who knew that she is giving so many parents of children with autism a false hope. Autism can not be cured by getting rid of vaccines.
The supplements I have given our child with autism have done a HELL of a lot more for our son than 10 years of private speech and OT 4 times a week at $125/pop. ANd believe me, *THAT* did a HELL Of a lot, too.
But, the thing that FINALLY turned him around was nutritional. He's not cured, but he wouldn't be living at home if we hadn't done what we did with his dietary and supplment changes.
p.s. for those who assume that autism is merely a brain disorder, do some research, or mind your own business. autism is diagnosed around the time of vaccinations…it is linked to vaccinations because before these children are diagnosed they show no sign of autism and are relatively normal infants, that learn at a steady pace. after vaccinations, they show signs are their learning abilities and communication abilities rapidly decrease. so, please have some sympathy, if you've never met, or spent time with or raised a child with autism, you don't know the mountains you have to climb.
Re: furby – Do some research….they took Mercury out of vaccines a while ago. Perez- you should not use this as a forum for a topic which you know nothing about.
Brava to Jenny for standing up for what is right for her son!!! But of course, there is more to the overall issue of autism than her particular case…I wish her the best of luck, but all in all, vaccinations in the modern world have helped more than harmed…
Re: Dr. Smith – Jenny should be ashamed? I don't think so. Any woman who tries to raise awareness for the sake of children should not be ashamed.
Is she talking about the multiple vaccinations you have all in one injection? As the GP who challenged that in the UK, saying it caused autism is probably going to get struck off. But I think she's right, we should all have vaccinations for each disease one at a time, not all in one go. And wasn't there some case regarding British soldiers at the beginning of the Iraq war where they were given untested vaccinations and it's made loads of them ill? The fact is all the medical companies are making so much money, they don't care if a few people die or even if they NEVER cure cancer, cus they are making so much money from the chemo drugs.
Re: Dr. Smith –
Would you recommend vaccinating a child with a fever? If not, why would you recommend vaccinating a child who may have an unknown immune condition?
Ok I guess I am lost but when did her son die? I thought she claims she cured him from this disease??
amazing! if only more celebs were like her
People who are criticizing here should read her books firs. She is NOT advocating for an end to vaccinations. Rather, she is rightfully using her celebrity to highlight the fact that babies are being BOMBAREDED with enormous booster vaccines that overwhelm their sustems in the name of saving some money. Any responsible parent should be infomred of the facts and be allowed to choose their child;s vaccination schedule (space it out) instead of being railroaded by aggressive docors and the pharmaceutical industry into agreeing to do something that is more convenient, easier and cheaper for them. There is no good reason why a chil HAS to be immunized for so many diseases at the same time. It's just plain wrong.
Great a fuckin actress that thinks shes smarter than a doctor.Vaccinations as of this day have not been proven to cause Autism, neither has vitamin therapy been proven to cure Autism.Wrong message to send to parents not to vaccinated your children to the proof is in the pudding shut up.Stick to what your good at Jenny spreading your legs at for Playboy
I AM SO PROUD OF JENNY MCCARTHY! She is doing such a great service to us all by raising awareness of autism! Keep doin' what you're doin' girl!
it's hurtful that people blame our researches way of HELPING people and twisting it to say it hurts. Everything in medicine has pros and cons. Don't get vaccinated and risk diseases and death, good luck.
Also I have seen many children with Autism that did not get vaccinated so no it cannot be a direct link.
People who are searchin for reasons sorry
I think Jenny is a terrific woman and mother for getting her story out there and campaining about how to help children over come autism the way that her son has.
But frankly, she's not a doctor. And when she says "acceptable losses" she needs to think of all of the children who have lost there lives to the diseases that these vacinations prevent.
As much as I appreciate her courage, I wonder if her son had caught measles instead - would she then be on the Larry King show promoting vacinations?
You guys have no idea what those vaccines have done. They have increased 10 shots before you're two to 35 shots. They save lives. But there's mercury in them. Too many shots of this is mercury poisoning which is the direct link to autism. I know 4 cases of perfectly normal children that recieved the shots and are now autistic. So you a**holes should do your fucking research. I'm in the medical field and so are my parents who are of the older generation that now believe the new facts. The threat is VERY real. We should postpone our vaccinations to our children until they're older. Jenny McCarthy isn't saying we should stop all of them. She's just saying we should wait…So yes she is fucking amazing and she should show those corporate assholes we mean business!!!
This is very sad. Autism is a real concern for our country and the world. Unfortunately, Jenny is perpetuating misinformation. Read the research–it has been proven time and again that vaccines are not the cause of autism. It is understandable that lay people believe this, but it has been proven false by experts in the medical, social work, and psyhcological arenas.
Re: AtlFan –
"WOW—what an idiot. If she would present the scientific info she would see that we consume more mercury through water, lotions, etc than are in the shots. Has she ever thought that her actions when she was younger is what "caused" her son's autism. She has had implants, injections, etc….this would be just as much to contribute as anything. So please don't call her amazing. The minute we stop the vaccinations we get plagues again. Measles use to kill over 5,000 people yearly, the list goes on……and by the way nothing "causes" autism, the child already has the disease in them. By the way, notice that all of her info she presents is "Non-Scientific and Anecdotal"…she is the one that labels it that way…..listen to your docs!!!!! "
honestly I think that is genius.
Women want to blame a vaccine. MAYBE ITS breast implants you hear about things happening to women.
Maybe it was the drugs she did at some time
Why can't it be those things. Why vaccines.
Why can't it be the drugs or alcohol she did ? idiot
she did not say to not vaccinate - she said "too much, too soon" which is a very good point to be made -
GET IT GIRL!!!! Tell him!!!!!!
This sort of stuff is completely inappropriate. There is absolutely no evidence that vaccination during infancy causes autism. Evidence is becoming much stronger that it does NOT cause epilepsy, as was previously suggested. It has been found that some children who developed epilepsy after vaccination had a genetic syndrome that would have caused epilepsy anyway (with onset around the same time as vaccination). It was purely coincidental.
The benefits of vaccination far outweigh any potential complications (which are looking very unlikely anyway). I hate this sort of thing because it could lead to a public health crisis. GET YOUR KIDS VACCINATED!
I work in the autism field - and there is no evidence for a link between vaccinations and autism. While she may be amazing, she is wrong. And unfortunately she continues to perpetuate a myth (that vaccinations cause autism) - which is all the more unfortunate because the opinions of celebrities often hold more weight than actual scientific fact. VACCINATIONS DO NOT CAUSE AUTISM - check your facts, Jenny.
P.S. Who the fuck cares who is first? Post something meaningful or f*** off.
she's being too emotional. too chicky. if she presented her case calmly and eloquently, i think doctors might take her (and her cause) a bit more seriously.
Autism occurs on a very wide spectrum, it varies in intensity and in what the symptoms are. There is probably more than one cause– there is probably more than one "autism", it's a very broadly defined condition. One of the causes could very well be from the preservatives in vaccines.
Jenny ISNT telling parents not to vaccinate their children, read her book and you will see taht, she is just telling her personal story and how she fought tooth and nail to help her son. it is inspiring to see the positive outcome for Evan!!!!
Re: kelofnc – Re: Christina –
Oh? She isn't a medical professional but you agree with her immediately probably only because she is a celebrity. While I haven't ruled out that vaccines might be tied to the disorder, most of the folks that are outraged would be on the bandwagon raising hell if they postponed some vaccinations and epidemics of these illnesses began to rise. I feel for her, but she is upset because of the scary thing that happened to her child and she wants to blame someone. If her son had not been vaccinated and he was crippled because of polio she would be on the show arguing for vaccines at a younger age.
and why do people keep saying she's smart? at what point during this video does she come off as intelligent? she just keeps screeching.
VACCINES KILL AND PERMANENTLY DAMAGE CHILDREN!!! BOTTOM LINE IS…CHICKEN POX AND MEASLES ETC ARE TEMPORARY, NO BIG DEAL…
VACCINES CAUSE PERMANENT DAMAGE!!! THE ISSUE OF 'NEEDING' THEM IS PROPAGANDA!!!
DRUG COMPANIES DON'T CARE ABOUT PEOPLE OR HEALTH, THEY CARE ABOUT MONEY AT THE EXPENSE OF HEALTH AND PEOPLE'S LIVES!!!
JENNY RULES!!!!!!!!!!!!
She's an idiot. She's done so much harm to the autism community. She said her son DIED?? So, people with autism have no value?? My son has autism, and he's certainly not dead to me. Say what you will about the vaccine controversy, that's another debate, but she's an idiot.
look at some research on vaccines
http://insidevaccines.com/wordpress
Re: shesnotadoctor – JENNY IS RIGHT, DO THE MATH! AND KIDS WOULD NOT DIE W/ OUT VACCINES, THEY WOULD AT MOST HAVE A SMALL BOUT WITH A BENIGN ILLNESS!!!
VACCINES KILL !!! VACCINES CAUSE AUTISM!!! VACCINES ARE FOR DRUG CO' WALLETS,
N O T NOT NOT NOT FOR CHILDREN'S HEALTH!!!
Re: natalie – YOU ARE INCORRECT!!! AND STUPID AT THAT!!!
Of course these whack jobs aren't going to admit that the vaccines are a problem…that is their bread and butter! My youngest had a severe reaction to a vaccine when she was 4 months old and it was frightening. Frothing at the mouth, listless….shaking violently. She spiked a fever of 104. Is THAT normal? Thank God she is alright. I think they put in wayyy to much medication in one shot. THAT is where the problem lies. They are trying to dose kids on super concentrated stuff…and mix 3 or 4 of these together. Sometimes its way too much medicine for their little bodies to take at once. They give the same amount of vaccine to a newborn baby as they do a 5 or 6 year old!! Obviously a baby that weighs 7 lbs is going to be a lot different that a child that weighs 40.
Re: Grace E. – HEY GRACE YOU HAVE YOUR 'FACTS' AND YOUR 'NON FACTS' ASS BACKWARDS. YOU ARE A STUPID MORON WHO BELIEVES IN MEDICAL PROPAGANDA.
There is no evidence and no studies which suggest vaccines cause autism. She is just a fear mongering douche
She is spot on! When it comes to children, there is no such thing as acceptable losses. The corporate profitbabble that these big pharma companies spew forth is inexcusable. My son is one of these children. He is a remarkable young man, but he is a casualty of their greed. You go Jenny, you used to be a just a sex object to me but that has changed. Now, I would much rather shake your hand and give you a hug. You are one helluva woman!
I LOVE JENNY FOREVER not just for this ive always loved her k ty lol
She is saying "too many too soon" - vaccines. I absolutely agree -and if you don't have children you have put through getting these obscene amounts of vaccines then don't rebut. My son gets sick after each one and he even broke out in what looks like chicken pox -but I was told that can't happen - can't well it did. Autism rates have sky rocketed, our nation is run by pharmaceutical companies selling, selling, selling. That flu vaccine got you nothing!
Well if you feel that way about drug companies then stop using all of their products and die…..
Good for her. It needed to be said and I'm very impressed with her.
While she's in the process of giving out false information, she might as well try to link obesity to vaccines. Well, kids are fatter nowadays and there are more vaccines, so therefore, the vaccines must make kids fat. Oops, that doesn't work either because the numbers don't back up the claims being made by the anti-vaccine brigade.
I really think the whole anti-vaccine movement is akin to women competing in the Best Mommy Contest. It's like I don't vaccinate, I homeschool, I definitely don't circ, I breastfeed until my kid is 6, and co-sleep forever. Therefore, I must be the best mommy in the whole wide world.
