Saw her sing on dancing with the stars and she was absolutely horrible. I was actually stunned. This woman has not an ounce of vocal talent and the quality of her voice is nasal, thin, pitchy and very reminiscent of Paula Abdul. YIKES

Anyone who says she's horrible, terrible and is talentless obviously has not seen her hundreds upon hundreds and over 20 years of perforances and sold out tours. Tours as well as concerts are available one dvd for anyone who needs a clue. You can check out several performances on youtube. She sings live and is truly entertaining. Britney was entertaining, yes I agree I actually loved The Onyx Hotel Tour, but besides two songs they rest was mimed, lip synced. Kylie may have held back on various dance moves and shaking her behind on Showgirl tours but costuming had to been heavy and it's all about the dramatics with that one and I loved it. Kylie isn't British but is considered a national treasure by many! She is just amazing. She doesn't really need American gratification considering her success in Europe and Australia. Having said that, America is the ultimate destination for international artists. Once you've had hits in the USA, there just seems to be the feeling of having "made it." Go Kylie, I say!

All I See is a North American release only, aka Ne Yo style radio friendly. The rest of the album is classical Kylie with some totally rocking tracks. If it does well in the US, the next release will probably be Heart Beat Rock!
I love kylie. some of the above idiots obviously know nothing about kylie. First of all, when she wore a wig it was because she was battling cancer at the time and the wanker that said she was a 2001 has been, kylie has been famous in Australia since the '80's, some people like myself have been fortunate watching her grow from a teenager to the amazing woman she is today. I also love madonna but you'd never see our kylie pose in a leotard with her legs spread. Also, please dont compare kylie to Britney, there is no comparison, nothing wrong with britney's talent but clearly that is the only thing they have in common. Kylie rocks and always will be. Not all aussies love kylie's music but they do respect her for the amazing woman she is.

I'm convinced Ms Minogue must be paying you Perez. Whereas you slam everyone else, this woman can do no wrong in your eyes. The interview was pathetic with them both trying so hard to be funny. She even went so far as to pronounce Melbourne the way foreigners do ie "MelbORne". It is pronounced "MelbERne". After living for 20 years in London her accent is no longer truly Australian either. As for the trams, while they might seem cute to tourists, they are a pain in the neck when you get stuck behind one in heavy traffic. While Kylie's music was fun in the 80s and 90s for a bit of light relief and for dancing, one gets the feeling that she is now trying too hard. She's everywhere - particularly on your site. Those of us who liked her back then have grown up and moved on, so she's either got to win us back, or create a new fan base, hence her attack on the US. Heaven knows why she chose that particular song - it is boring, repetitive and sung with her very ordinary voice just hasn't got what it takes with the competition she's facing in America. She does have better material on her new album "X", but most of it would be very difficult to perform live as it is so electronically manipulated. She's been very lucky and made a lot of money in the UK, Europe and Australia. Why doesn't she leave it at that and bow out while she still has her dignity?

If you have been a fan of hers since the 80s as you claim, you would be aware that Ms Minogue's image has become increasingly sexualized during that time. She started off as "the girl nextdoor" in Australia, but after meeting Michael Hutchence and moving to London he used to boast that he had corrupted her. If you look at the photos of Ms Minogue over the years, the costumes became briefer and the amount of flesh on show hugely increased. What about that clip she did for "Spinning Around" with her bum hanging out in those gold hotpants? Another photo features her seated astride a rocket - suggestive if nothing else. Sure sex is used to sell everything these days, but to suggest that Ms Minogue has not used it herself is untrue.

Britney ten years from now. Kylie was cute when she was young, but she's just another ageing skank.
She is has such a down-to-earth, bubbly personality. I really enjoyed seeing this and it is a real pleasure to see someone like that instead of the usual narcissistic posers we usually see on shows like this.

I have seen Kylie live too, in her hometown of Melbourne on her Homecoming Tour after she'd regained her health. The concert was great entertainment, but I had to ask myself how much of it was Kylie. Her voice is padded out by very talented backing vocalists, her costumes are couture, she is made to look glam by a team of make-up artists and hairdressers, and the show is full of lighting and other special effects. In many songs she was also accompanied by (usually male) dancers. While it was highly entertaining, if you took all the glitz away and just left Kylie, you'd have a very ordinary woman with a very ordinary voice. That's why she appeared so flat and lacking when performing on Dancing With the Stars. Sure she can put on a great show, but a solo performer without all the glitz she isn't. By the way, the programs at her show were $40 each! Needless to say I didn't buy one.

Re: Greeneyedthrill It is highly unlikely she is "knocked up" (by that I am guessing you mean pregnant) because the drugs she is probably taking suppress oestrogen production and hence cause a drug-induced menopause. This would be the case if her breast cancer was the type that is oestrogen responsive. Considering what she has been through she looks pretty good, but it is obvious she has had a lot of work done on her face. However, looking good is essential in the entertainment industry, but she needs to stop before she overdoes it. After all she has been through and the success she has already enjoyed in other countries, it is hard to understand her obsession with trying to enter the US market. However, if that is the path she chooses to take, she needs better advice on the singles she releases, and when appearing on TV, the clothes she wears. Those tight mini dresses are just so wrong for her now. When dressed to suit her more curvaceous figure she can look fantastic. Who knows whether she'll make it in the US? Perhaps she's left her move too late, or she just doesn't have that something special that makes her stand out from all the other wannabes. As seems to be the general concensus on this blog, her live performances on US television were very ordinary and bland. Time will tell…

Even after a four-year absence and a courageous battle against cancer, Kylie Minogue's appetite for pop perfection remains undimmed.
