oh ok,"bowling for columbine" thats a COMPLETELY un-biased movie..lol..if michael moore said so it must be true,he would never produce a biased movie…lol….he's just after the TRUTH and not ticket sales amongst liberal americans who believe in the "vast right-wing" conspiricies….and HATE conservatives………and to call him a RACIST is idiotic,he publicly supported MLK,and the civil rights movement, and was one of the first in hollywood to offer his sympathy to mrs.king

so he helped with black rights durring the 60's very comendable and needed. Later he did nothing but talk badly about gays and refused to acknowledge that maybe gun owners need to become more responsible. not a hero in my eyes.no matter how horrible the disscrimination against black people can be this day in age, the one thing that is good as no laws axist anymore to hurt them. I wish the same could be said about the gay fight, and many minorities aid in the bashing both legaly and physicaly of gays. wish tey and Chaz could see/have seen the simularities in a fight for equality due to nothing more then the way one is born.

GOOD. I'm glad he's dead. He wasn't beloved. He was an old douchebag spouting hot air and bullshit because of his celebrity. How about his NRA convention he had in CO right after the Columbine shootings? I think I'll br prying that gun out of your cold, dead hands right about now, Heston.

    717

    sad????? wtf.
this man was a racist, an anti-semite, and a selfish, uncaring, thoughtless gun-promoting NRA bastard who held a gun rights rally in columbine the week of the massacre.
    good riddance to bad rubbish.

I am so sad. He was such a great actor. I loved him as Moses in the 10 Commandments

  19. Malee says – reply to this

    719

not sad at all. this is the man who took the NRA conference to Columbine 2 weeks after the school massacare. People will be spared being killed by gunshot because he's not alive anymore…

  20. SAY NO TO WEAPONS says – reply to this

    720

Sad that someone has died but this man advocated the use of arms even in the wake of tragic high school shootings.

His constitutionally fuelled argument "a persons right to bear arms" is nothing more than hypocrisy when "someone’s right to live" is the essence of not only constitutional but moral and ethical rights.

Whatever he achieved in his career was overshadowed by his ignorant and insensitive push for arms.

  21. MIKIshisms says – reply to this

how sad…it didnt happen SOONER! hope he died by gunshot, glad he's gone…

  27. Ashly says – reply to this

    727

All you people are fucking sick. You hate a man for believing that we have a right to own a gun in America. The NRA is a great organization and anyone who says they aren't needs to actually read up on the org and then maybe you can say what you want. But I bet half of you assholes have never even been to the NRA website let alone talked with someone who is a member. To disrespect a man that was a great Hollywood actor just because he wanted the right to own some guns is insane. Guns don't kill people, people kill people. Its just you irresponsible crazy fucks who go out and abuse the rights we have. And if they didn't have guns to kill people they would just use something else. So get the info first before you start running your mouth about something you know nothing about.

    728

wow I cant believe that so many of you americans are mourning the death of a gun advocate, maybe you should focus your energy on oh I dont know maybe starving children? animal rights? environmental issues? Anything of relative importance?! Your country seems to be overrun with self important ignorant fucks, sensible americans, it might be time to leave…

    731

WOW….there is some major hate filled crap on this site. I mean what's the average age of you people…15? All of this talk regarding the NRA, guns, old white men, racists and homophobic slurs. Yes, let's blame all of the violence on the guns and one Hollywood actor. Kids killing kids could never be blamed on the hate filled shit spewed from our mouths, entertainment, and message boards like this. No, no, no, we're all just about peace, love, and happiness. Get a grip. We feed off of the chaos like rats and it's not just the U.S., it is world wide. From reading the majority of these comments it looks as if we as a whole are filled with nothing but anger, and lack respect for ourselves and others. I'm not saying we should link arms and sing songs around the campfire, but come on practice some personal responsibility for a change.

  32. Nette says – reply to this

He is truly a legend and will be missed. I loved him as an actor and will always remember him as "Moses". How sad.

    733

Re: us kids know – i think if you did your research, american citizens as a whole give more both through their time and finaces to these very causes than any other nation out there. I'm not saying the government itself does, but the people of this country do, and many of these people don't have a lot to begin with. there is a lot of good in this country, we just don't talk about it because negativity sells. seriously, do some research, you might be surprised.

If you released his movies today they would be laughable. He basically starred in a bunch of schlocky B-grade fluff. Planet of the Apes? 10 Commandments? Airport 75? Earthquake? He was certainly a presence on the screen but his choice of work leaves a little to be desired.
The fact he was a huge supporter of the NRA qualifies him as an extra large douchbag too. The faster these old geezer ultra conservatives with their outdated ideas die off the better.

The only 'SAD' thing about this guy's death is that he has Alzheimer's and won't remember why he is in HELL. how many people have died because of his gun toting beliefs???? too many. Let's mourn them instead.

This is a current headline on foxnews.com

Machete-Wielding teens attack Australian Highschool; 19 injured

Luckily, no one has any life threatening injuries. Violence is violencen and it will rear it's ugly head with our without guns.

are we really sad that he finally bit the dust?
    hell no!
his crazed rantings about gun rights for the NRA are enough to make anyone sick.
I believe he did say that we'd have to pry his guns from his "cold, dead, life-less body!"
is it time??? do we need volunteers???

I am protected - legally - and I am not a "crazy". But I AM an exceptional aim, and you can bet your bottom dollar you would want to be near me if something went down.

How can you be soooooo low though, as to spit on someones grave when the ground is still warm? Scandelous.

    Re: racist

Racist you say, I think you are rather young and stupid. Just because you do not like his stance on gun control. doesn't change the fact that he marched and financial supported the civil rights movement in the 60's. Read and learn before you talk.

Re: ihaveone! – I'm right there with you sister…sig p239 by my side. I wonder how many people on here have ever taken the time to learn to properly handle a weapon, let alone shoot one. Considering how many violent criminals are out there, I'm glad I can legally go to a range and perfect my skills so I have a fighting chance. I wish I had known what I do now when I was almost raped at gunpoint 8 years ago. I was lucky to get away that time.

Unfortunately many of these violently insane individuals choose to terrorize "gun-free zones", which means none of us legal, upstanding people are able to assist in a crisis.

People need a chance to defend themselves against the armed and deranged. Until something can be done to keep weapons out of their hands entirely, or to keep them out of society forever, we should all be able to defend ourselves and each other.
