Um…doesn't the premise of this 'new' moview sound a lot like Crash?

No, no this premise does not sounds like Crash., not at all. Crash is about people, and how they feel about the other races they encounter. There are no death row inmates in Crash. Crash is a movie about race relations, it is a lot deeper than the people that are connected in the movie.
Curtis Jackson's role sounds more like Tookie Williams (last name?). You know, the guy who started one of the biggest gangs in the country and was nominated for a noble peace prize?
I have not seen Curtis Jackson act, but he is not in any movies that I really want to see.

are you kidding me? unfortunately I've heard this before. people voting for Obama just so that a black man can run the country and to see the response of the racist white communities. It's really sad that so many people claim THIS as their reason for voting for Obama. Rather than worrying about your lives and how the President will affect your families and all future generations, you worry about how you can piss off racist ignorants. Have you forgotten that you are a citizen too and your choice will affect your own life as well?! Has 50's rapping career has hit a speed bump? yes. Is acting a smart career move for the guy? probably not. You should do a little research before you open your mouth next time, though. his next film, "righteous kill" stars some guys called al pacino and robert dinero…you might have heard of them. last time they were on screen together they put together a little diddy called HEAT. I'm not saying fitty is gonna make the thing great, but you gotta have some talent to get tapped for a role like that.
