American Idol Is Going Postal

It's for a good cause!
As part of American Idol's "Idol Gives Back" charity initiative, new U.S. Postal Stamps are being released to help raise money.
The stamps will feature the past six winners (does anyone really remember them, aside from Kelly Clarkson?) and will also feature this year's winner.
The commemorative charity stamps will go on sale as part of a limited edition set, with 100,000 20-stamp sheets for each Idol winner. The stamps will not be sold in USPS stores though, but instead through Stamps.com.
Starting May 12th, regular first class stamps will cost .42 cents each, so a regular sheet would cost $8.40, but these special edition stamps will cost $19.99, with proceeds benefiting "Idol Gives Back."
As part of their fundraising efforts AI executive producer Nigel Lythgoe said he hopes to generate about $7 million through the sale of the stamps. Their goal this year is to surpass last year's $76 million raised, and break over $100 million this year.
Nigel says that the stamps are "a great idea, especially for philatelists. I think it's a little bit iconic, too. It's great for Idol."
Now on sale are Kelly Clarkson stamps, with each sheet containing four images. The other 5 Idol winners will be release over the next five weeks.

Carrie is co-headlining a tour with Keith Urban, co-wrote songs on her 2nd album that are hits, has won numerous awards (Grammys & so much more), and has just been invited to be a member of the prestigious Grand Ole Opry. What'a Kelly done - try to jump into country music when we all know she doesn't give a rat's ass about country music - she hooked onto Reba's coattails. Carrie is the real deal people - and she's nice, sweet and humble to boot. And by the way, people in Europe do know of her - they're begging for her albums to be released over there. And when they are, look the hell out. I'll buy Carrie stamps, but they can keep Kelly's - she's this close to being a has been.

I love Carrie but Kelly sold more than Carrie. Kelly sold 9.4 million copies and Carrie sold 8.6. Carrie is catching up but Kelly is known internationally unlike Carrie. And Carrie is co headlining a tour with Keith not by her own, she has yet to do that. And sales and popularity doesnt mean you are the best.
