People who hate Stern and think Satellite Radio is dumb should hate themselves for living in the dark. Satellite Radio and the Internet are like the only things left for free speech and entertainment. WTF does normal FM radio offer? Shitty Fergie songs all day. I missed the beginning and went to listen to the replay, which airs all day but they aren't airing it– that's a Howard-100 first so ya know this is serious…

I'm so sick of hearing these Stern marks talk about the legit "pain" in Howard's voice. After all these years people still don't get that Stern couldn't care less about his fans or his staff. The only person Howard Stern cares about is his himself. Artie has looked like a swollen chipmunk for almost a year now - an absolute fat mess - and Howard has let it get to this. I saw him on Conan a couple weeks ago, and even Conan made a comment at the end of the interviewing stating that he needed help. The look of concern on Conan's face was more than Howard has ever shown. If he were really any friend of Artie's he would have gotten him help long ago. These people who worship this washed-up radio hack are nauseating. He gives you four days of radio a week and takes a two week vacation several times a year. That's your "king"? Assuming that this is NOT a bit, I say good riddance to Artie. I hope they find that fat pig face-down in a puddle of absinthe so that all you Stern sheep can look back at all the warning signs that your hasn't-been-relevant-since-the-'80s hero ignored.

As a die hard fan for 20 years, one day I just stopped listening…not sure why…i got into morning tv news instead. I was addicted to the show. I have not listened in months and i find myself not so negative all the time. I think listening to Howard continuously is not good for one's psyche.

I started listening to Adam Corrola when Howard left for Sirius, and he had Artie on as a guest the other day. After listening to him rant about homosexuals and women, I have deduced that he is just a homophobic, mysogenistic jerk. I do however LOVE his story of being dressed in a pig costume and trying to do coke while driving. Never laughed harder in my life!!!!

Re: Vivica – Your obviously someone who does not listen to the show. You have to listen to understand it can't be explained. The show is maybe 25 percent sexual stuff at the most. Some days more but not often. The reason he made it as big as he has and got a 500 million dollar contract is becai\use people relate to him and the crew!
Sadly, it's probably a "bit." Every 12-18 months, on the last show before a vacation (which today was), they'll create a cliff hanger with a fake staff fight. It's something that infected the show when CBS/Viacom got in bed with the WWE and used the show for cross-promotion. Unless Artie OD's in Amsterdam or lives out his dream of dying for the troops while *performing* in Iraq/Afghanistan, he'll be back in when this vacation is over (4/21 or 4/28), poisoning what was once a creative, groudbreaking show with his particularly ignorant brand of homophobic, misogynistic, racist *humor*

Can't belive people would think this was a 'bit'. Only if it were April 1st. The only way Howard/Sirius could even think about letting Arite come back is if he agreed to get help including anger mang. classes. Artie still doesn't seem to be strong enough mentally to do that. He's such a smart person, it's hard to understand why he can't finally give in to the pain that has created all this darkness in his life and get help. He does have a very dark and evil side to him but if he wasn't so hell bent on destroying his life then maybe he could overcome that. How sad if he goes to Amsterdam tonight…. Can't blame it all on Howard, he's been trying to help Artie on and off the show but he's not Artie's keeper and no amount of help is going to do any good until Artie is ready for it but a off the show intervention might have been nice… kind of like the one Artie took part in with KC… then again… it might not have worked but at least someone tried off the air. For whatever reason, Artie is pissed to be alive and doesn't think he deserves to have good things happen to him.
Like him or not, Stern is a great broadcaster and great businessman. He got Surius to cough up money and stocks yet he has 15% the audience he had when he was on conventional radio. Kudos to Stern!!!

Artie is a fucktard junky who obviously wants to leave the show (to give him more free time for blow and meatball pizza). He has been pushing the limits for MONTHS!! He just doesn't have the balls to quietly resign, probably because he knows it will be career suicide. AND Howard doesn't have the balls to ask him to go. The fat fuck REGULARLY misses the show for bullshit reasons. He had the nerve to point out on the show yesterday that he ONLY missed 10 work days in the last couple of years. What an asshole! They only work four days a week AND they have several WEEKS of vacation built into the schedule. I admit that I do find it pretty funny when they make a bit about Artie falling asleep during the show (and his other sloth ways), but at the same time it really pisses me off that he would repeatedly act so disrespectful to the show.
