Artie has wanted out for a long time now this may be his way out but we have a long wait because now they are on vacation.

Artie called Teddy an "asshole" out in the hall during a break so Howard had them come in to "talk it out."

It actually was a staged fight to create a cliffhanger since they're on vacation next week — and Artie may be out longer than that because of his Iraq gig –

If it was real and not a bit, then it was Artie going out like he promised he would back in summer 2005 when Howard poo poo'd Artie's request for 3 weeks off to shoot Beer Ball like a movie star. Artie descended into a full blown heroin addiction, said that he always leaves relationships and jobs on bad terms, and proclaimed, "Artie's gotta do what Artie's gotta do."

In any case, Artie threw a water bottle or can or cup of soda at Teddy (a replay of him throwing a CD and clipping Sal in the head just before another vacation last year), Ronnie yanked Teddy out of the studio, and Artie quit. Howard yanked the replays of the show. Tim Sabean said, on Stern Fan Round Table, that they wanted to let everyone cool down.

Artie and Teddy were on the same plane bound for Amsterdam yesterday afternoon. Artie may have actually found a way to escape the Stern show. Will he OD in Amsterdam to amke sure it's permanent? Stay tuned.

Opie and Anthony are on XM Satellite Radio (XM202) so yes they are global. They are HILARIOUS. 100 billion times funnier than Stern.

Artie is a fantastic person that has been pushed to the edge too many times by too many people. He has been dealing with Teddy's shit for too long. Not in a MILLION years would I talk to my boss the way Teddy talks to Artie and not expect an extreme reaction.
I think that Artie is so unhealthy, tired and depressed. He is on the edge. He should take a leave of absence get his life in order and then come back. I love Artie and he belongs on the show. Howard has a tough decision to make or accept if he resigns. I think over the weekend it will work itself out.

wow, perez loves howard and has done some brilliant spots on his show, but not many readers of this site are stern fans? artie needs serious help - mentally and physically, but howard also "pushed buttons" as he does so well which put him over the edge

there is no way Stern is straight. He gets prettier every year. you are right, he's a complete ass, and I can't believe this many people both read Perez and watch/listen to Howard Stern. Something is really, really wrong here.
it was fake. if u listened 2 the replay that they played later in the day it had a story about naomi campbell throwing her phone at her assistant. it was actually mondays show but how ironic that that is the 1 they chose 2 replay. great vacation cliffhanger.
artie lange is a peice of shit, no one has it better then him and he can't even stay awake. he works 20 to 25 hours a week on the stern show yet he makes like its tough.
put sal g. in his chair and the show would be 100 times funnier.

Your verbose postings are tainted by your inability to filter out your ignorance. Are we to overlook your asinine hypotheses simply because you know how to BOLD your posts? Please, don't overcompensate. It's sad. But, it is cute how a complete know-nothing asshole recognizes the importance of Howard and what occured with Artie and that you want to be a part of it. That fact, and that fact alone, is your sole redeeming quality.
If this was a bit, it is a good one. If not, I feel bad for Artie, he needs to get himself together, lose some weight etc..
