And, if this teaser poster is any indication, Chace Crawford's character is not strictly dickly.

We think there's something a little bit wrong with such an overtly sexual ad for a show aimed at teenagers.

Haha, you wanna say that this ad is too racy, yet you endorse the show all the other times? Have you READ these atrocious books? I worked at a bookstore and refused to sell them to moms and young girls. The lessons they teach and examples they set are nothing short of disgusting, and I'm no prude.

I just bought my weekly In Touch! magazine, and this add was in there minus the "F", meaning that it just said OMG. So, maybe they realized the mistake and corrected it already??
I'm totally loving this.
This 'promo' is actually a shot from the VERY FIRST EPISODE of Gossip Girl. And when they showed the scene in the show, it went on for a few minutes and was way racier than that.
PS, the same people criticizing it are the same people who
a) promoted the freaking show after this happened in the first episode.
b) blogged about the actors and made it more famous…should have known what you were promoting idiots.
And no one should be lame enough to model their lives on what they see on tv-stop letting the media influence your kids lives so much-and high school kids aren't really different than that.

The book is meant for young adults…and I am sure the show is too! If they are going to stay at tall true to the books they do not need to take away what makes the books stick out from all the other little highschool novels. Yes, the show and book revolves around the New York rich society but personally I believe that it is for more of a young adult audience.
