Bad news for NBC. Very bad!
As Conan O'Brien is set to replace Jay Leno on the Tonight Show next year……
Craig Ferguson, whose Late Late Show began in January 2005, finally managed to beat his competition for the first time in over three years.
This marks the first time Ferguson's show has gotten higher ratings than Conan's Late Night.
Ferguson's executive producer, Peter Lassally, stated that Ferguson's "getting looser and looser all the time and for the last few months it's clear that he's having such a good time that you can't resist it as a viewer."
That's great news for Ferguson, who's probably been having a great start of the year. Just two months ago, the Scottish Ferguson was officially sworn in as a US Citizen after passing his American citizenship test.
And now, later this month he will be hosting the annual White House Correspondents' Dinner in Washington, D.C., which as you know, Perezzers will also be attending!
In response to Ferguson's ratings spike, NBC noted that O'Brien was still ahead with viewers aged 18-49, to which the network bases its advertising sales on. And with the younger half of the demographic, O'Brien gets more viewers than David Letterman.
We wouldn't know who's better to watch. We're usually passed out by the time both shows air!

I can't resist Craig…I want to be " a naughty monkey " just cuz i like the way he says it…Conan, on the otherhand, is to high voltage…i mean he is wired like a hanger sometimes i do believe, and his bob's big boy hair dew, wears me out…he is scary in hi-def, where as craig, could beat me, whip me then make me do dirty dishes….he is the real deal…keep up the good work…
Conan O'Brien is by far THE funniest person on television.
conan can't be beat with his off-beat humor and his stupendous manner in which he acts totally confused by things that were clearly practiced in rehearsal. no way.
Kayla, You're wrong. It was a whole week of head-to-head original programming. Conan's not bac but Craig's funny, crazy smart, and smokin' hot. His success comes from both talent and hard work. Good on 'ya. Call me, Cinnamon.
CFis the bomb and young people love him. He brings out the best in his guests, especially the ladies. If NBC had any balls, they would tell Conan to chill and give the Leno spot to Craig. He would do much better in that time slot. Are you listening, Zucker?
Conan is a jerk who is not the least bit funny. Actually his so called comedy is stupid! CF is much better and I think NBC is making a HUGE mistake in having Conan take over the Tonight Show when Leno leaves. If they think their ratings are in the toilet now - they haven't seen nothing yet! GO CRAIG!!

Re: Mama – Mama, there ain't NOTHING British about his humor. Brits are hardly known for being self-effacing, down-to-earth, gregarious — he's got Celtic humor DOWN. Reminds me of my adorable Irish grandfathers (though he is Scottish). Brit humor is dry, wry, funny…but totally different..
Re: Linda – I'm with you, Linda. Conan seems so removed and silly. Craig is silly, but more real and intimate with the audience than any of the other current late-night hosts. This is the trait that made Johnny Carson so beloved. As everyone else on here has commented, the operative word seems to be "sincere." When a comedian has that (Bill Cosby for example) they just melt your heart.

THE LATE LATE SHOW WITH CRAIG FERGUSON IS THE ONLY SHOW ON TV TODAY WHICH MAKES ME LAUGH. EVERYTHING ELSE SUCKS.

ferguson is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyy better than o'brian, letterman, or leno. he's so easy to listen to and he adopts roles that are just sooo funny! I love it when he impersonates the prince of england (prince Charles)!! so hilarious! you should watch him perez!

Conan sucks. I can't stand him. I will miss Jay. CF is pretty funny though.

His only possible competition is Letterman.
He is such a genuinely intelligent and clever comic in comparison to Conan who just shakes his head and body around like an idiot, and Leno, who's whole show is a Carson rip-off with unfunny jokes. Plus Leno's sometimes a little insulting to his guests in mean (not funny, like Letterman) way.
I've only been watching Ferguson for a long time and will continue to do the same.
Agree that he's the next best thing to Carson.
Craig is the best out there hands down. I Tivo him every night and he couldn't be funnier. All of the others pale in comparison

Ferguson is so witty, been watching him for years. I prefer him over all the others and consider him WAYY funnier than Conan. He has morals too. As a former AA, when all the crap happened with Brittany he refused to make fun of her. I respected him even more after that.

I used to watch conan but for some reason I started watching Furgeson instead and have since. Conan's writers are awful.

Conan is a million times better than any of the late night hosts. He is hilarious, the sketches are wacky, and his interviews are always so different. He will be an amazing replacement for Leno. I can not wait for him to appear at 11:30pm, so I can get to bed a little earlier!
THE ONLY REASON HE WIN IS BECAUSE HIS SCOTTISH,HE DOSENT HAVE NEARLY THE AMOUNT RATINGS COMPARED TO THE OTHER BASTARDS/….
