Almost SIXTY hours after her water broke, U.K. trainwreck Kerry Katona finally gave birth on Friday evening.
It's a boy.
The child's name is Max Croft and he was born five weeks premature.
He weighs 5 lbs 4 oz.
Says Katona's rep: "It was a natural birth and mother and baby are doing well. Kerry and Mark are thrilled to bits."
We hope little Max is healthy!

60 hours AFTER her water broke???? Oh no!!! How did the doctors allow that to happen?! After 24 hours there is a huge risk for infection!!!
I find it surprising that she gave birth sixty hours after her water broke. They usually don't recommend going over 24 hours after your water breaks. The chance of infection becomes too high after that. Did she have the baby in the UK? Maybe their medical practices differ in that respect.

No offense, but having your water broken for 60 hours is not a big deal if they are trying to stop your labor and you are on antibiotics. Some women have their water broken for months before they deliver.

The baby is premature and low birth weight due to smoking and substance use. Smoking during pregnancy causes low birth weights. Prematurity can be due to drug use. Of course the baby is not healthy. Congrats!

I'm not a drug addict, drinker, or smoker…and my water broke at 29 weeks…my daughter…was born at 32 weeks thanks to excellent medical care…and modern medicine…so 60 hours is a small amount of time…there is a risk of infection…but it's better for the baby…it's crucial that steroids are given for lung development…5 weeks early is premature because it's before 37 weeks…but it's only 2 weeks shy of full term…for those of you in the US…support the March of Dimes and their research to stop premature birth…many many woman have premature babies…it's the hardest thing to watch…and the worst expierience a woman can go through…I didn't do anything wrong…my daughter came early…but when she didn't eat and needed a feeding tube or her heart rate slowed down…I blamed myself…the 3 weeks I spent in the hospital on bed rest after having a pretmature rupture of membranes saved her life…SO PEREZ…60 hours is nothing…multiply 24 hours times 21 days…and add 9 hours and 12 minutes…that was my labor…and then I had an emergency c-section for cord prolapse…and I would have gladly died in order to give my little girl life…Perez, use your position to educate people NOT make fun of this serious situation…please remember the baby is innocent
There is no way to know what damage she has done to her baby until it matures a bit more. The baby may have onset problems similar to FAS if she drank at all during her pregnancy. I hope the baby grows up healthy and successful and gets as far away as he can from this woman.

there's no way it was 60 hours from when her water broke. when my water broke, i was told that i had 18 hours to push the baby out, bc otherwise there is a high risk of infection. so longer than 18 hours, and you win a c-section. she was probably in labor for 60 hours, if thats even true, and her water broke much later. most women go into labor before their water breaks, and the drs end up breaking it for them.

5 lb. 4 oz. is a good size for a baby who is 5 weeks premature. My sister was born a couple of days early and was exactly 5 lb. Let's hope that stupid bitch didn't cause her child to have any health issues.
