She is one of the most important pop singers all around the world, except USA and Canada. She is big in Europe, Asia, Latin America. The only thing the average american musical taste seems to support is black music or country ou teenagers rock bands. We are talking about a population that in general don't like to read subtitles in the films, don't know anything that happens beyond their borders and have elected Bush twice. Kylie is very sophisticated for a country like USA. I think it's a great thing she will never happen there. Let's keep them listening to T-Pain, Ne-Yo, Florida etc etc or Rihanna, Beyonce, Ciara, Kelly Rowland, Ashanti etc etc ou Nickelback, Panic for the disco etc etc. The average american cultural tastes are VERY bad.

It's very silly to say that AC radio would be all over a song just because it's sowntempo. There is nothing stellar about this interpretation on "All I see." Plain and simple, Capitol did the worst thing they could have done by making this the US single. She's just not meant to be a star in the States it seems.

This is a beautiful version of the song. The album version is very reminiscent of Rihanna and Ne-Yo's "Hate That I Love You", so I can see why it was selected as the first U.S. single. Sadly, U.S. radio audiences just aren't into dance music. That's why Madonna's Confessions album did extremely well everywhere but here.

Thanks Perez, that was nice. She's not the greatest singer in the world, but when she tries she can sound quite good. I think the problem with the 'Dancing With The Stars' performance was she was singing and dancing at the same time - she should have stood still to sing it. "All I See" is not my favourite song on "X," but I knew when I heard it in Paris in November that it would be her first American single. I personally think that "Wow" or "In My Arms" would have propelled her to stardom in the US. I love Kylie no matter what, anyway. =)

More Kylie promoting Perez… This version is certainly more classy than the offerings on television. No skintight mini-dresses and stupid dance routines by young men - just Kylie singing. She looks attractive, however her voice is thin and well padded out by the backing vocalists. This is the direction Kylie is going to have to go if she is to remain popular in Australia and the UK. The scantily-clad pop princess image is so yesterday. Still don't think this will make it in the United States. It just doesn't have enough impact. But does it really matter? Most of the music the United States releases in the rest of the world isn't that great either. We are just constantly bombarded with the ones who make it big and can afford the publicity machine to promote them.

I really don't understand why people are criticising her voice. It sounds quite strong, clear and in-tune here. OK, she may not be the world's greatest singer, but she's really not bad at all. And when you add in the other things Kylie has to offer - her charisma, personality, professionalism, her looks, fashion sense, sense of irony, her dancing etc. - she's an all round great entertainer.
I totally agree. Odd that capitol chose the underwhelming All I See as first single as there are stronger songs on the album and it is definately more upbeat than the song implies. Glad Perez is a fan and supports her here in the USA cause she needs all the help she can get!
