Perez: What do you expect from uneducated, classless people? No attention to teeth, no attention to educating her speaking voice–she talks like…I don't even know what! (I've seen her show and I've never heard such a speaking voice and…I've never seen an uglier little brother–my God, these people have been hit with the ugly wand!) She'll be pursing her lips like that forever and doing that "V" thing forever and…WHO CARES!!!!???

For all of you saying that Miley's gesture is not a peace sign I would like to say that you are almost right, the gesture was starting by Winston Churchill when peace was declared at the end of the second world war, it is a V for Victory, which later became adapted by the hippies to symbolise peace and is universally recognised as such.
And personally, I don't care if she does it in every single photo taken of her for the rest of her life, she is gorgeous, and reasonably talented, and could be doing much worse things.
On one hand…the peace sign is cute and don't we all need a little more peace in our lives sometimes? She is just a teenage girl…let her have a little fun.
