Alicia Keys' shocking comments to Blender magazine sure has kicked up quite the firestorm for the singer.
Keys called-in to Ryan Seacrest' radio show Tuesday to do damage control "clear things up."
Overall, she thought the Blender article was great, but she is disappointed that the mag decided to put a 'negative spin' on her comments.
Alicia thinks she was misconstrued in the article and she'd like us to know….
- That she's a very positive person.
- Her only aim is to uplift people and spread love.
- She's not a conspiracy theorist.
- The government didn't create gangsta rap, just the term. And, she thinks they could have done more at the time to do something about the problems the rappers were talking about.
- She doesn't know who killed Biggie and 2pac, but she thinks the media sensationalized their deaths and their rivalry.

I don't think there is a group in society who loves being the victim more then blacks, I remember very clearly all that the government officials from representatives to President Reagon to Bush Sr to Clinton criticizing rap music and it's message to teens, but all you got back from the black community was that the white society had a different standard towards rap then rock music and how the "white man' wanted to destroy rap music because it allowed blacks to make money , anyone who criticized rap music got such a push back from blacks that people stopped caring and allowed blacks to deal with their own community messages was giving to other teens especially black teens. Now 20 years later they see the bad effects of a culture of rap and now it's the governments fault, I am so sick of stupid blacks and their self destructive behavior.

The book above talks about how the firearms industry decided in the 80's that they'd "exhausted the demographic" of rural white males whom they were used to marketing guns to and decided to go after the "urban black youth" market, the author got internal company memos explicitly stating this. I don't think that gov't necessarily pushed the 'gangsta rap' enterprise (though they irrefutably funneled coke into the inner cities via the Iran-contra affair during Reagan, so they are just as culpable for the rise of violence and the image) but I do think Madison Avenue/corporate America is guilty of pushing it, and those corps are all run by the same rich republicans that back people like Bush, Reagan, etc so it's all the same.
How about spending more time crucifying people for conspiracy theories that get tons of people killed, like the one about Iraq having anything to do with the attacks on 9/11, than chastising a black American for connecting some dots.
