my mom used to get her hair permed a lot when it was in. So i can say thats not a perm. the chemicals placed in hair to make a perm is actually really damaging. If she had a perm done. I'm sure she would've lost some of her hair, as its already over processed…

I like it. A little texture never hurt anybody. Besides, I don't think its quite "perm" level just yet. My gripe is the boring blonde thing. The fact that she's been blonde instead of her natural red for so long, coupled with her other behavior, shows that she's more comfortable fitting in as 'just another hollywood blonde' rather than being herself and building her own. I mean, come on, she's from Long Island for fuck sake. i'm not buying it.
I honestly don't love giving perms, but I am still in school and regularly perming elderly ladies with the ABSOLUTE tightest (yellow, oh there is red, FUCK red, AND YELLOW too) perms possible.
Although, I recently attended one of the Spring Hair Shows and…yes the body perms and large spiral perms, like Lohan is wearing are on the fore front.

it doesn't look like a perm to me, probably her hair was just diffused.
and if she did, a lot of women get body wave perms in their hair..so that it gives them more volume. you can still blow dry your hair straight with a perm and/or straighten it..it will just have a lot more volume.
