Brigitte Bardot: Nutjob Going To Jail???

French law officials want to throw the book at 73-year old screen legend Brigitte Bardot for inciting racial hatred toward the Muslim community.
Brigitte (a vocal animal activist) stated in a letter that she wrote to then interior minister Nicolas Sarkozy (now President of the country) protesting the method of slaying sheep during the Muslim festival of Aid El-Kebir.
"We're fed up with being led around by this whole population which is destroying us, destroying our country by imposing its acts," she said.
A bit harsh, baby?????
Bardot was upset because the sheep weren't being stunned before they are bled to death, which is the 'traditional' method.
The letter was published in a magazine and distributed to supporters of the Brigitte Bardot Foundation.
Several anti-racism groups in France filed complaints about the letter, accusing Bardot of provoking discrimination and racial hatred toward Muslims.
Bardot has been convicted of similar offenses on four previous occasions since 1997 and fined $2,250-$7,500.
The court will deliver its verdict June 3.
You'd think that after all those years of being alive the old gal would have gained some wisdom and learned some diplomacy!

The Koran clearly asks of believers to wage war on the infidels, it would help if perez and other bleeding hearts would take the time to educate themselves and find out what Islam is really about; all they need to know is contained in the pages of the Koran. Muslim people are not actually the greatest enemies of Western societies, the real enemies are the Westerners who do not protect the right of free speech that their ancestors fought to win. I say deport them to Muslim countries if they love Islam so much, let them taste the fear and witness the casual brutality committed in these countries, let them see with their own eyes what the absolute subjugation of muslim women actually means. And never, ever let them come back for they are the true enemies of our culture. In šaʾ Allāh.

PS: It's not slaughtering sheeps, it's sacrificing them in the name of God to show how we're grateful for what God has given us. The meat of the sheep goes to the poor at that time of the year. So called masterminds at Islam, i suggest you read Koran first, from the beginning to end…if you can.

Hey…maybe you should all read up on why Muslims slaughter a sheep during Eid-l-adha…it is done in memory of what Abraham was willing to sacrifice for God. God asked him to sacrifice his son and he was willing to do it. Then God told him to sacrifice a sheep instead so Muslims do this in remembrance of what he would do for God. And then the sheep meat is given to poor people all around the world. You pay to buy one and have it slaughtered then it is given away. And it is not inhumane. This is the same method Jews use in Kosher slaughter. So maybe educate yourself before making horrible and derogatory comments about someone's religion.

No, the Qur'an does not say that. In the Qur'an, Sura 2:256 it states "La ikra ha fidin" translated into English as "there is no compulsion in religion." That means the Qur'an very blatantly denounces forced conversion. I'm not saying it hasn't been done, what sacred texts say and what followers/believers do can be very different things, in any religion, including Christianity. And those involved on September 11th and Hamas are extremists, NOT representative of the entire community, as are Christians such as Timothy McVeigh and the bombing in Oklahoma and Dr. Baruch Goldstein, a Jew who bombed the Tomb of the Patriarchs in Hebron during Ramadan.
Before you make statements such as this you should do some reading on the research of religious violence. I suggest "Terror and the Mind of G-d" by Mark Juergensmeyer.
