She was DEFINITELY lip synching towards the end!!!!!!
Was She Lipsynching??? YES!! How can you not know that? You can't sing the last word of one line and the first word of the next line at the same time! This song was a bad one to pick if she knew that she would be lipsynching.
the first bit seemed like she was. when she was walking up to the mic and the song came on.
Real singers don't need to lip sync. No, that was a live performance. For someone in the entertainment business, you would think you would know this!

I watched her performance last night and I can always tell when people are lip-synching and I did not suspect that at all. If she was lip-synching the performance would have been even better than it was. But anyways, Mariah can actually sing so I don't think there's any reason for us to suspect that she would lip-synch like other non-singing popstars

Of course it was live. Why would she lip sync to a shitty copy of her voice. That song sucked too. The line was "Never gonna say goodbye" then she spent the next 2 minutes saying just that!

SHE WAS TOTALLY SINGING LIVE - YOU CAN SEE THAT VERY VERY VERY EASILY IF YOU WATCH THE VIDEO. Mariah stuck to the album version, so it sounds like the recorded version, but you can tell there are slight variations and you can hear her breathing in between words, and she stresses notes differently than the album version. Plus, if you have half a brain, you can see that she's singing live.
it sounded like in the very beginning she was singing along with an audio track, but after the first 30 or so seconds all the echoing went away and her voice turned back to average. if she was lip syncing they wouldn't waste time having those other singers on stage with her, and the audio track would sound a hell of a lot better.

She was singing live. At one point though, she and one back up singer were off and the backup singer's vocals over powered Mariah's. The backup singer was in better form. Also, why did Mariah wave her hands around through the entire time as if she was conducting an orchestra???? it was weird and distracting. I just kept watching what her hands were doing. She's too experienced for this to happen.

There was a definite change in the sound quality when she started lip synching and you could tell she changed her position on stage to avoid getting the camera angles that would give her away. You could see the corners of her mouth sometimes and they werent making the appropriate shape to make the sound that was supposed to be coming out of her mouth. Aside from the obvious lipsynching, what a crappy song. Who is writing for her these days. Yikes!
