No. One good way to kind of rule out lipsyncing is if there is microphone static and "pops" - if it were pre-recorded, even for lipsyncing, somehow that magically disappears
Keep that in mind next time you think someone is lipsyncing. Not to say she doesn't have a back up of her own voice playin quietly to supplement her voice in spots, but she is definitely NOT lipsyncing.

Mariah sounded great, she was very interesting to watch. Her range is amazing. She's a true talent. Her back up singers complimented her nicely, she made an effortless-seeming performance overall.

You could tell she was lipsynching in parts of the song.. .Not all of it was but her lips didnt match the lyrics in a lot of the song….. You could also tell she was live in parts…. Who says you cant do a song live and lipsynching??? haha

She is so not lip synching. I"ve seen her Live many times and she has never lip synched. Obviously real singers sound different live. But she was definitely singing live. If you ever seen her in concert.. you know she can still bring it. I think the reason people have been speculating about her lately is b/c the songs on her new album aren't all about hitting those high notes. She does hit a few on the ends of some songs.. but she uses her other registers on this album. Either way.. she still rocks.
oh and p.s. - Madonna sucks! Her old ass needs to stop trying be relevant and sit her ass in a rocking chair and knit a sweater!
I'm no fan of neither Madonna nor Mariah (though out of the 2 I like Mariah Better) but I remember thinking that she was lipsynching last night. It does also sound like she was partially singing over a recorded track…. Either way I HATED IT the song is corny and puts me to sleep. She could have picked a better song at least.

Hey Perez, I was at the Idol show last night.. I sat thru 2 warm up rehearsals BEFORE THE SHOW they do a pretape of her preforming 20min before the show starts..along with a few other segments too.. SHE SANG COMPLETELY LIVE.. AND NAILED IT EVERYTIME..literally she arrived.. they anounced.. she warmed up for about 10min and it was so quite in the studio you could hear a pin drop..in between doing the warm ups she warmed her voice up quick with some whistle notes too.. She looked amazing..in person.. her body is insane.. so there you have it.. any questions?????
Knowing a lot about vocals and singing and how the original sounds that was 100% live. All the verses and bridges were live…Really Perez needs to stop hating…Madonna cant sing live at all, and her voice is robotic. I'm starting to really dislike Perez.

the problem is, that she is singing however, she has so much background singers help, that it sounds like it, i never was a fan of her voice, i think she is overated as an artist , and is a parody of herself now, I thing that she is approaching 40 and still trying to realte to the youth,and it comes off as pathetic.
