I don't think that song is boring at all…it's sad and emotional. She wrote it for her grandma who passed away. I think it's very touching…and I don't think she lipsang but something was screwy w/her mic.

She sang live! Quit accusing her of lip syncing fatty. Some people really do sound that good. How come Madonna hasn't performed 4 Minutes live? Because she can't. Madonna's newer songs sound awful. Madonna has gone way too techno/electronic. Don't blame others just because your idol hasn't had a decent album since Ray of Light.

Definitely Lipsynching !!! Do you really think she would start singing before she even gets the mic in place ?? Uh, no. She was in the middle of smiling to the applause of the audience when the track started with the words…it was so obvious she was not ready…. She was so distracting with her hands to keep us from noticing her not singing live. The song is a drag anyway…who cares ?
Honestly, it sounds like she lipped that last third of the song when it came to the ad libs. Her voice is weaker now and she was struggling to hit notes in the beginning, mostly singing softly. Then, all of the sudden, her voice was clear and strong. She was obviously singing over the track throughout the song, but I think her ad libs towards the end were not live.
you all have been fooled. mariah has been using this trick often recently. she sings live in the verses and then the back up track comes in for the high notes at the end. ive been studying her past performances and the ending is EXACTLY the same. not because shes super good, but because it's a recording!! she did the same shit on oprah. either way, shes still a very talented legend with a hot boday.
Ill give Mariah Carey her props in her day just like Whitney. She sang the first half live… then when she goes into her chest voice it changes to a track she records in the studio with no effects so it sounds live when it comes through the speakers. They take her best chest voice takes and use them for diff performances, i think her chest isn't dependable now days not sure why. Her audio mixer is realllly good!
The funny thing is, if you listen to the lyrics, the song is pretty much the same in subject matter to her old hit with Boyz II Men, One Sweet Day. So much has changed with her since then, namely the vocals and writing quality.
She was singing live until the belting out part of the song, then it switched to lip-syncing. It was obvious because the first half of the song was quiet and airy and breathy, then the bridge came and she put the mic over her face covering her mouth and all the sudden there was belting and it sounded different. also right before the switch she gave a "look" and a signal behind her or offstage.
She is a bore. BUT she does have a great voice. Why can't she buy some more interesting/better material??
She was definitely singing live over a recorded track. You can see her "emoting" with her fakey little fingers, etc. But you don't need a finger pointing up to get a high note out, you need support from your diaphragm. Girl was not breathing!!
